This Week In Independent Wrestling (5/26 - 5/29)

Welcome once again to This Week In Independent Wrestling. From Wrestling Open in Massachusets to Sean Henderson Presents in New Jersey, it’s another busy weekend with three equally great shows taking place on Friday night so… choose wisely! Let’s rundown everything in independent wrestling this weekend.

This Week In Independent Wrestling (5/26– 5/29)

Wrestling Open (5/26 // Worcester, MA)

After a literal fire scare cleared out the building last week to close out the show, Alec Price and “Big Bacon” Brad Hollister fought in the parking lot. This led to a submission match being booked between these two this week! Teddy Goodz and Little Mean Kathleen will team up to take on The Administration and much more can be expected from the wrestlers who are typically found on Wrestling Open!

Wrestling Open will be live on Thursday night, May 26th, and can be witnessed at The White Eagle in Worcester, MA. Or streaming live on IWTV. For tickets and more information, please click here

Chaotic Wrestling – Boston Brawl (5/27 // East Boston, MA)

Chaotic Wrestling is on a roll with three shows in a row over the next three weekends. They kick things off in East Boston with “Boston Brawl”, an event at which Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Davienne defends the title against Jake Something. MSP returns to Chaotic to challenge The Unit for the Tag Team Championship, while Ricky Smokes defends the New England Championship against MORTAR in a Ladder Match. Alec Price vs. Brad Cashew, Alisha Edwards vs. Shannon LeVangie, Aaron Rourke defending the Pan Optic Championship against Armani Kayos and a scramble featuring Landon Hale, Randy Rivera, Gal Barkay, Chris Loggins (w/ Alex Cypher) and Che Long round out what looks to be an amazing card.

“Boston Brawl” takes place on Friday, May 27th in East Boston, MA. For tickets and more information please click here

Pro Wrestling GRIND – Come And Get It (5/27 // Easthampton, MA)

For their sixth show, Pro Wrestling GRIND has brought in Derek Neal to take on the undefeated Rip Byson. “The Human Monster Truck” Perry Von Vicious takes on “The Big Bad Kaiju” O’Shay Edwards in what should be a huge match, to say the least. Shook Crew enlists the help of Dante Drago to take on Team All-Japan (Jay Freddie and the Saito Bros) while Delmi Exo meets the always unpredictable Jody Threat. Travis Huckabee might need to update his vaccinations as he meets “The Rabid Honey Badger” Ryan Mooney in what should be a pure scrap. Thick & Juicy 2.0 collide as the returning Willow Nightingale takes on the debuting Brooke Valentine. Logan Black looks to tear down the house (both figuratively and quite literally) against Manders in a match that could steal the show.

“Come And Get It” takes place live on Friday, May 27th, in Easthampton, MA. For tickets and more information please find Pro Wrestling GRIND on social media.

NCW Reunion

Northeast Championship Wrestling – 25 Year Reunion (5/27 // Dedham, MA)

After recently capturing the Ox Baker Memorial Cup, Channing Thomas has used that title shot opportunity to cash in on NCW Heavyweight Champion BRG. The history between these two runs quite deep and this might just be the revenge that Channing Thomas needs after all this time. Little Mean Kathleen defends the Women’s Championship against Ava Everett while “Riot” Kellan Thomas puts the New England Championship up in a Gauntlet Match against the entire League of Excellence! The Lumberjake takes on Tim Lennox in a Memorial Day Street Fight, Osirus meets Foxy Calvin Campbell and much more action is sure to take place in Dedham!

“25 Year Reunion” takes place on Friday, May 27th, live from Dedham, MA. For tickets and more information please click here.

Pro Wrestling Magic – Soarin’ Over Ridgefield Park (5/28 // Ridgefield Park, NJ)

This Saturday sees a fairly big show for Pro Wrestling Magic. The current Pro Wrestling Magic Heavyweight Champion Darius Carter puts the title on the line against a huge opponent in Dan Maff. Vinny Pacifico faces one of his toughest opponents to date, as he goes one on one with Rocky Romero. Death Row defends the Tag Team Titles against Hispanos Unidos while Everett Cross defends the Dark Arts Championship against Alex Reiman.

Jordan Blade defends the Women’s Championship against newcomer JC Storm and more of a potential threat Ruthless Lala. Steve Pena vs. Rhett Titus and Donovan vs. “The Rabid Honey Badger” Ryan Mooney round out a card that also will feature The Meat Locker vs. Vargas & Yoscifer El.

“Soarin’ Over Ridgefield Park” takes place live on Saturday, May 28th, at the Knights of Columbus in Ridgefield Park, NJ. It will also stream live on IWTV. For tickets and more info please find Pro Wrestling Magic on social media.

Sean Henderson Presents – Luv Is Rage (5/29 // Williamstown, NJ)

For many, this weekend of wrestling can close out on Sunday afternoon as Sean Henderson Presents brings us “Luv Is Rage”. Always putting together the best combination of deathmatch wrestlers to create matches that aren’t always deathmatches but just work, Sean Henderson truly is shining a spotlight in a positive way on independent wrestling. The main event of “Luv Is Rage” is set with Colby Corino vs. Matt Tremont in a Clockwork Orange House Of Fun Match, which should just be worth the price of admission alone. Tim Donst takes on Jimmy Lyon, Steve Sanders goes up against Reid Walker, and Ruckus squares off against Brandon Kirk for the first time ever. All of this, plus Bam Sullivan vs. Conor Claxton and the Crazy 8!

SHP “Luv Is Rage” takes place on Sunday, May 29th live from the H2O Center in Williamstown, NJ. If you cannot be there in person at 4pm it also streams live on IWTV! For tickets and more information please find Sean Henderson Presents on social media.

Until next week…
