#AndNEW: Bianca Belair Wins Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania

Bianca Belair has captured the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38. She defeated Becky Lynch in a rematch from SummerSlam 2021 to become champion.

Bianca Belair Wins Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38

The match was historic as both women have previously main evented WrestleMania. Lynch main evented WrestleMania 35 and captured both the Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championships in a triple threat match. Belair headlined WrestleMania 37 and defeated Sasha Banks for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

The match has been building since SummerSlam. Belair was scheduled to defend the Smackdown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam. Her opponent was a surprise as Lynch made her shocking return to WWE to challenge Belair. The match lasted less than 30 seconds as Lynch made short work of Belair to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

Belair earned this match by winning in the Elimination Chamber and punching her ticket back to WrestleMania. The match started fast for Becky as it looked like WrestleMania could have been a SummerSlam repeat for Belair. Belair weathered the storm, however, and was able to bring home the title at “The Showcase of the Immortals”.

This makes Belair a two-time champion in WWE. She is also a one-time Royal Rumble winner as she won the titular match in 2021 to earn her shot against Sasha Banks. Belair also improves her singles WrestleMania record to 2-0 with this win over Lynch.
