Preview: AEW Dark: Elevation (2/21/22) – Violence Is Forever Debuts

AEW Dark Elevation Violence Is Forever Debuts

It’s once again time for AEW Dark: Elevation! Tonight’s line-up features a total of eight matches, featuring Lance Archer as he looks to rebound from his loss against AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page. Also on this week’s card, Ruby Soho will be in action against the debuting Ohio Valley Wrestling standout Haley J. Our focus, though, will be on 10-man tag team action on Dark: Elevation, as 2pointO, Daniel Garcia, and Gunn Club take on Dean Alexander, Chico Adams, Ariel Levy, and the debuting Violence Is Forever.

10-Man Tag Team Action: 2pointO, Daniel Garcia, and Gunn Club vs. Dean Alexander, Chico Adams, Ariel Levy, and Violence Is Forever (Dominic Garrini and Kevin Ku)

Gunn Club (Colten and Austin Gunn) is looking to bounce back. They came up just short of capturing the AEW World Tag Team Championship in their last match against defending champions Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus). Tonight, they will be teaming up with Daniel Garcia and 2pointO (Jeff Parker and Matt Lee) against Dean Alexander, Chico Adams, Ariel Levy, and Violence Is Forever (Dominic Garrini and Kevin Ku).

As we touched on, Gunn Club is coming off a loss, and in professional wrestling, momentum is such an underrated X-factor going into any match. Though having the surging 2pointO and Garcia could definitely help balance that out, it’s still something to think out.

Especially when, on the other side, you have the debuting Violence Is Forever on Dark: Elevation. Garrini and Ku are a potentially dominant force looking to make an impression on a new audience. Their hard-hitting style could play the difference maker in this match-up.

All of that being said, it’s tough to pick against AEW’s team of rising stars given the sheer talent they have on their side. I look forward to seeing if this gets the former Major League Wrestling standouts the coveted “All Elite” graphic.
