Additional Matches Set for NJPW New Beginning USA

NJPW New Beginning USA

As it was previously reported, NJPW STRONG will begin 2022 with New Beginning USA on January 15th from Washington Hall in Seatle. The previously announced matches are El Phantasmo vs. Matt Rehwoldt, Yura Uemura vs. Brody King, Clark Connors vs. TJP, and the US of Jay Open Challenge. Now four more matches have been added to the card.

Four New Matches Set For NJPW New Beginning USA

Josh Barnett vs. Ren Narita

Former UFC Heavyweight champion and PRIDE FC veteran made his NJPW return at Detonation, stepping into an NJPW ring for the first time in 17 years. He took on LA Dojo member, Alex Coughlin in a hard-fought battle. Now another Young Lion will test himself against a well-versed submission grappler in Warmaster.

FinJuice vs. Bad Dude Tito and JONAH

Tito will be making his NJPW STRONG debut during the Nemesis tour. The show will air in January, but it’s known that he made an alliance with JONAH. The huge man has his crosshairs set on both David Finlay and Juice Robinson. Former IWGP and IMPACT Tag Team Champions have an impressive track record and will present a difficult challenge to the powerhouse duo.

Rocky Romero and Lio Rush vs. West Coast Wrecking Crew

This match is the next chapter in Romero’s feud with Team Filthy. At Detonation, a mysterious Black Tiger attacked Romero and aligned himself with Team Filthy. This puts Romero in an uneasy situation where he must deal with threats coming from both inside and the outside of the ring.

Kevin Knight and The DKC vs. Ricky Gibson and Eddie Pearl

LA Dojo’s students Kevin Knight and The DKC will take on debuting team of Ricky Gibson and Eddie Pearl. Gibson and Peral are the current DEFY Tag Team champions and have held the titles for almost two years. At New Beginning USA they’ll get an opportunity to showcase their skills to a whole new fanbase as they face one of NJPW STRONG’s main tag teams.
