NXT UK First Show With Fans Already Full

NXT UK Ilja Dragunov and Meiko Satomura

NXT UK will welcome live fans back in style with its first show from the BT Sports Studio with fans already full.

The October 14th NXT UK show will air from the BT Sports Studio with live fans. This marks the first time in 18 months that NXT UK has had live fans.

The next set of NXT UK tapings are set for October 6th and 7th, with fans being invited to apply to be part of the tapings via a fan questionnaire created by WWE. The questionnaire has already reached “maximum capacity”, meaning British wrestling fans will fill the BT Sports Studio for the first time.

WWE moved NXT UK to the closed-set BT Sports Studio during the pandemic. The tapings will mark the first time fans have been able to be a part of the atmosphere at the BT Sports Studio.

Pandemic-era NXT UK

During the pandemic era, NXT UK launched a Heritage Cup Championship tournament which crowned A-Kid as the first ever Heritage Cup Champion. The current Champion, Tyler Bate, will likely defend the Cup against either Wolfgang or Noam Dar. Dar and Wolfgang will meet in the final of the recent Heritage Cup Championship No.1 Contenders tournament.

The tapings will also see Ilja Dragunov defend his NXT UK Championship against A-Kid. Dragunov has been the breakout star during the pandemic. The “Moscow Madman” first lost an NXT UK Championship match to WALTER, before overcoming a nine-month quest to regain his sanity which culminated in him winning the title from WALTER.

This will also be the first chance for a lot of superstars to perform live in front of fans as part of the NXT UK brand. NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura, Rampage, Nathan Frazer, Teoman, Sha Samuels, Blair Davenport, Charlie Dempsey, Aleah James and Rohan Raja all made their official NXT UK debuts during the pandemic.

If you would like to be invited to attend tapings in the future, you can email [email protected]
