Heritage Cup No.1 Contender Tournament: Round One Ends

The NXT UK Heritage Cup No.1 Contender tournament first round will draw to a close this week. So far Teoman, Noam Dar, and Kenny Williams have already progressed to the semi-final. Dar will meet Williams. Teoman will take on the winner of Wolfgang and Sam Gradwell.

We can guarantee Wolfgang vs. Gradwell will be a hard-hitting bout between two big lads. It’s tough to predict who will progress to meet Teoman but it is unlikely they will get past him to the final. The winner of the final will earn a shot at Tyler Bate’s Heritage Cup Championship. Last week, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang pushed one half of NXT UK Tag Team Champions Lewis Howley in a fountain, so we could see Pretty Deadly look for some revenge and cost Wolfgang this match.

Symbiosis in Six-man Melee

Eddie Dennis was left rueing taking on Saxton Huxley without the rest of Symbiosis at ringside a few weeks’ ago, when the erratic Huxley scored a shock victory. As a result, Dennis challenged Huxley to face the whole of Symbiosis six-man tag match. Dennis expected the nonconformist Huxley would struggle to find two partners. But Ashton Smith and Oliver Carter stepped up to the plate.

NXT UK Championship Replay

Ilja Dragunov’s victory over WALTER at NXT TakeOver 36 for the NXT UK Championship has been discussed as a potential match of the year since it took place on August 22. This week a full replay of the match will air on NXT UK.
