TNA iMPACT! & TNA Unbreakable Preview (04/17/2025)

TNA iMPACT! & TNA Unbreakable Preview (04/17/2025)

This week, TNA Wrestling is Unbreakable. The iMPACT! episode is turning into a CountDown to the TNA Unbreakable special event, live from Las Vegas, NV.

We are just 10 days away from one of TNA’s “Big Four” PPVs, Rebellion. Some question marks could return despite the load of exclamation points we have recently witnessed.

Who will be the inaugural TNA International Champion? Is Moose putting his X-Division gold in danger with the open challenge he set?

Is Joe Hendry playing with fire, as he will compete against medical orders? Who will survive the Barbed Wire Massacre?

TNA iMPACT! airs on AXS TV and TNA+ at 8/7c. TNA Unbreakable airs on TNA+ at 10/9c. Here is our full preview of this big TNA Wrestling night.

The Nygma View on The Stakes at TNA

We’ll see on Friday if Nygma’s crystal ball was right, but I decided this time to mix the stakes at TNA with a Nygma point of view.

For only the sixth time in TNA history, we will bear witness to one of the most extreme, hardcore, and dangerous matches – Barbed Wire Massacre. For months, Sami Callihan and Mance Warner have been at each other’s throats, attacking, assaulting, and mauling each other at every turn. A brutal Street Fight at Sacrifice was not enough to settle their score, and now, there must be more. After their match in the TNA International Championship Tournament turned to chaos, Director of Authority Santino Marella demanded that they finish what they started once and for all – in Barbed Wire Massacre at Unbreakable. With no disqualifications, no count-outs, and no shortage of barbed wire weaponry, Sami Callihan and Mance Warner are sure to tear each other apart.

The Nygma says Sami Callihan is going to take part in his 4th Barbed Wire Massacre. Mance Warner knows what a hardcore match/deathmatch is. There will be blood, there will be barbed wire, and there will be toys (I mean weapons of any sort). It will be hard to watch for some, but it will be a pleasure for me.

Director of Authority Santino Marella declared on iMPACT! that the  Digital Media Championship will be transformed into the TNA International Championship, with a tournament culminating at Unbreakable to determine its rightful holder. AJ Francis has already qualified for the final Triple-Threat match. Eddie Edwards, Steve Maclin, Eric Young, Zachary Wentz, Ace Austin, and JDC will compete in the last 2 Triple-Threat qualifying matches.

The Nygma says The System has 2 chances to make one of its members the inaugural Champion. Also, The System is united, and the triple-threat stipulation is definitely going to help Edwards and JDC because Myers or Moose could interfere. Each wrestler involved in the qualifying matches deserves the belt, but The System is what it is.

As The Hardys prepare to defend the TNA World Tag Team Titles against Nic and Ryan Nemeth at Rebellion, another opportunity for revenge has been revealed. The Hardys and The Nemeths will find themselves on opposing sides of a six-man tag team match at Unbreakable. Uniting with The Hardys will be Mike Santana, while his bitter rival, Mustafa Ali, joins forces with Nic and Ryan Nemeth. Santana and Ali are also set for an emotionally-fueled rematch just 10 days later at Rebellion.

The Nygma said it last week, Leon Slater should have been a better partner for The Hardys. The problem is that The Nemeths don’t have a friend in the TNA locker room. So, the company had to mix up 2 feuds in one match.

Ali has the bad habit of fleeing, so we can expect a brawl outside between Santana and Ali while the Brothers’ duo will be squaring off in the ring. Hard to say who’s going to win when there are so many unknowns.

Unless the Nemeths found a friend until Unbreakable.

TNA’s spring pay-per-view extravaganza, Rebellion, will host two must-see World Championship matches: Despite his doctor’s advice, Joe Hendry will defend the TNA World Title against Frankie Kazarian and NXT’s Ethan Page. Plus, Tessa Blanchard will challenge Masha Slamovich for the Knockouts World Title. But just 10 nights prior, all-important momentum is up for grabs in a tag team clash at Unbreakable: TNA World Champion Joe Hendry will join forces with Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich to battle the team of Frankie Kazarian and Tessa Blanchard.

The Nygma asks the question again. Is Joe Hendry really injured? And could we see NXT’s Ethan Page interfering in the match? With Rebellion right around the corner, a win here could make all the difference heading into the big event.

I’m a bit puzzled about this match. Interferences could come from everywhere, men or women, TNA or NXT. One thing is sure: the aftermath of this match could completely change the Rebellion card.

Reigning TNA X-Division Champion Moose took to social media to issue an open challenge for Unbreakable. Moose specifically called out the best high-flyers that Las Vegas has to offer. Who will answer the call on the biggest weekend of the year in pro wrestling? And will they have the speed and agility to overcome the brute force of Moose?

Who is the best high-flyer? It’s an excellent question because there are a lot of high-flyers in TNA Wrestling, and a lot of them don’t have a match at Unbreakable. Let’s make the list, as Chris Jericho used to say.

Zachary Wentz and Ace Austin are involved in the TNA International title tournament, but they could fit the mold. Leon Slater would be a good choice, like Laredo and Octagon Jr. Obviously, I would be remiss not to mention Trey Miguel.

Then, knowing who’s involved in the Ultimate-X Match at Rebellion, I can’t help to think it will be El Hijo del Vikingo.
