Buddy Matthews to Make Warrior Wrestling Debut

Buddy Matthews formerly known as Buddy Murphy will make his debut for Warrior Wrestling on October 16th.

He will make his debut at the promotions 16th show dubbed the “Sweet 16” show in Chicago Heights Illinois at Marian Catholic High School.

Matthews worked in WWE from 2013-2021.

He teamed with Wesley Blake and Alexa Bliss during his time with NXT before moving to 205 Live and winning the Cruiserweight Title. He was involved in a storyline with Seth Rollins through 2020 and 2021 before eventually being released from the company recently. No opponent has been named for Matthews yet, but one guest has been announced for the show.

WWE legend Bret Hart will be in attendance for the Fan Fest portion of the show. He will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans before they settle in for the show.

Warrior Wrestling is coming off of the three show Stadium Series shows that wrapped up this past weekend. The three-night series took place on the football field of the school with the exception of the third show which was moved inside due to weather.

The show gave fans a taste of what it will be like to be back inside for when Buddy Matthews makes his Warrior Wrestling debut. One new champion was crowned as Thunder Rosa became the new Women’s Champion. She will defend the title against Madi Wrenkowski at Mission Pro Wrestling’s Tussle in Tusla show.
