#AndNEW: Unagi Sayaka Wins Future of Stardom Championship

Mina Shirakawa vs Unagi Sayaka Stardom

On Saturday, Unagi Sayaka defeated Mina Shirakawa to become the new Future of Stardom Champion. This comes just two weeks after Shirakawa defeated Sayaka to win the finals of the tournament to crown herself as the new champion. With the title now around the waist of Sayaka, it presents her a chance to do more outside of the Cosmic Angels. Shirakawa’s reign as champion was only to last another two weeks or so as her time with the title was limited by the three-year limit on it.

Unagi Sayaka now has the special chance to try and raise the Future of Stardom Championship, a title that has been for the most part been forgotten about since the unfortunate injury to former champion Saya Iida. This has been a major year thus far for Sayaka as her run alongside the Cosmic Angels with the Artists of Stardom Championships is currently on track to break the all-time record for days as champion. She also managed to make it to the semi-finals of the Cinderella Tournament.

The new champion is set to take part in the 5STAR Grand Prix round-robin tournament for Stardom as a member of the Blue Stars block.
