Gatoh Move ChocoPro #127 Card – Tag League Kicks Off (6/23/21)

ChocoPro #127

Season eight of ChocoPro is set to kick off in a major way. Recently, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling announced that it would be holding the first of its kind – a tag league. To be more specific, the One of a Kind Tag League will pit eight ChocoPro teams against one another. Organized into two separate blocks, the winning team of each block will then face off in the finals to declare the first-ever One of a King Tag League victors. ChocoPro #127 will be the start of the action in question. For those that are looking to tune into the official Gatoh Move YouTube channel, here’s what to expect.

One of a Kind Tag League Block A Match: Best Bros (Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki) vs. Tropikawild (Yuna Mizumori and SAKI)

Kicking things off, in Block A, will be two of the top teams in Gatoh Move history. In Block A, the early favorites to win are undoubtedly Best Bros. Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki, the current Asia Dream Tag Team Champions, have been nothing short of dominant, even before winning the titles. Their combination of wily offense and fast-paced, hard-hitting maneuvers have them the top team to beat. However, as many duos have discovered in the past, seizing a victory isn’t nearly as easy as it seems. With that said, for their first challengers in the One of a Kind Tag League, the endeavor could be within reach.

As multi-time Asia Dream Tag Team Champions in their own right, Yuna Mizumori and SAKI are experienced in tag team wrestling in Gatoh Move. Furthermore, as singles competitors, they are just as formidable. While Mizumori has established herself as one of the most powerful stars in Gatoh Move, SAKI has become the “Ace” in her own home promotion of Actwres girl’Z. Keep in mind, though, that Tropikawild has only teamed together once in 2021. Thus, there may be some rust that will leave them vulnerable. Regardless, when these two top-shelf teams square off, expect nothing short of nonstop action.

One of a Kind Tag League Block B Match: Egg Tart (Chie Koishikawa and Hagane Shinnou) vs. Melt Brain Dancing (PSYCHO and CHANGO)

In Block B, the energetic yet still stoic Egg Tart will battle the chaotic element known as Melt Brain Dancing. Egg Tart, which consists of Chie Koishikawa and Hagane Shinnou, has quickly become a fan favorite duo. The contrast of Koishikawa’s “Too Much Energy” approach with Hagane’s more low-key yet lethal demeanor has entertained ChocoPro fans for months on end. It’s important to note that, in big-time matches including those for championship gold, Egg Tart fell short. The One of a Kind Tag League may very well be their key to etching their names in Gatoh Move history. However, to do so, they must get through the duo of PSYCHO and CHANGO.

To say that Melt Brain Dancing is a wildcard in the tag league would be an understatement. Though they’ve only been paired off a few times in Gatoh Move, the truth is that when they work together, it’s difficult to predict what they will do next. Perhaps their biggest flaw, however, is that very chaotic element they harness. PSYCHO and CHANGO are personalities that, on paper, shouldn’t work well as a tag team. Nonetheless, if it’s to become the first winning team in the One of a Kind Tag League, they will have to be on the same page. This will be a Block B encounter to keep an eye on.

ChocoPro #127 will air on June 23 at 10:00 AM JST (June 22 at 9:00 PM EST).

It will air live on the Gatoh Move YouTube channel for free before being available for on-demand viewing afterward. To support the company, you can sign up for their Patreon, which features multiple tiers, or their own on-demand streaming service linked below.
