IWTV No Longer Affiliated with Synergy Wrestling

In a very short tweet IWTV (Independent Wrestling TV) today announced that they were no longer affiliated with Synergy Wrestling.  This comes after a number of wrestling talents, podcasters, and other personell cut ties with the promotion.

This avalanche began when Terra Callaway tweet out information that Patrick Shea, who had been going under the alias Colin West as the owner of Synergy Wrestling, has previous convictions for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact against three males between the ages of 6 and 10, there was another incident detailed with a 12 year old male.  Callaway later tweet out even more incidents involving Shea/West from 2004.

Synergy Wrestling was scheduled to be part of IWTV’s Showcase Of The Independents collective during WrestleMania weekend but the streaming service has now cut ties with the promotion.  Following SpeakingOut and its devastating effect on the pro wrestling community, such quick action has been met with widespread praise as fans and performers alike try to make wrestling a better space for everyone.
