Alpha vs Omega: What an IMPACT vs AEW Show Could Look Like

IMPACT vs AEW

With IMPACT Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling currently working together, many fans are hoping to one day see the two promotions work together to deliver a co-promoted show.  We decided to take a look at what and IMPACT vs AEW show could look like while trying to be reasonable and not just book unrealistic dream matches where neither company would let someone lose.

Violent By Design (Eric Young, Deaner & Joe Doering) vs Jurassic Express (Marko Stunt, Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy)

Violent By Design are the newest stable on the prowl in IMPACT Wrestling.  Lead by Eric Young and anchored by the brute strength of Joe Doering they are a threat to absolutely anybody.  They could provide opposition for the shows opening contest against the popular and talented Jurassic Express trio.  The potential for hoss fighting greatness from Luchasaurus and Doering is enough to make us want this match badly.

Ultimate-X: Ace Austin vs Manik vs Chris Bey vs Sammy Guevara vs Jack Evans vs Rey Fenix

One of the most exhilarating and career-threatening stipulations in IMPACT wrestling would make for a perfect addition to an IMPACT vs AEW show.  IMPACT’s X-Division is home to excellent wrestlers like Bey and Austin, them getting to mix it up with some of AEW’s premier flyers like Fenix and Guevara would be an absolute thrill to see.

Fire N’ Flava (Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz) vs Ivelisse & Diamante

The brand new IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Champions have already been running their mouths and throwing shots at AEW’s tag tournament winners.  The two teams could collide on any crossover show, either with the titles on the line or in non-title action.  Since winning the tag team tournament Diamante and Ivelisse have mostly spent time on DARK so AEW should have no issues letting IMPACT’s champions come away with the win here.

Sami Callihan vs Jon Moxley

This one should be an obvious addition.  Former teammates as part of the Switchblade Conspiracy it has been a long time since these two have crossed paths.  Since their time together both have become grizzled and more twisted.  If allowed to explore their roots this could stand out as the most violent match on the card.

Deonna Purrazzo vs Britt Baker

The Knockouts Champion is known for one thing and one thing only, her cocky attitude.  Her counterpart on AEW is Dr. Britt Baker who has spent much of the last year running her mouth.  While a match like Hikaru Shida vs Deonna Purrazzo may not be able to come to fruition we imagine AEW would be more than happy to offer up Baker to the Virtuosa.

Young Bucks & Good Brothers vs Motor City Machine Guns, Rich Swann & Willie Mack

After Hard To Kill it’s hard to imagine the Machine Guns are finished with the Good Brothers, especially as Alex Shelley was unable to take part in the match.  The re-aligned Buller Club tag teams could team up here to take on the IMPACT home team of Swann, his friend Mack and the Machine Guns.  Seeing the Bucks and the Machine Guns share a ring again is already a tantalizing prospect.  Add Mack and Swann to that fray with Anderson and Gallows and you have a match worthy of main eventing any show.

AEW World Championship: Kenny Omega (c) vs Moose

At Hard To Kill we saw Moose put in a star-making performance opposite Omega, Anderson, and Gallows.  If the companies involved wanted to he and Omega could have a high profile title clash.  Omega has proven time and again to be the Best Bout Machine, giving him a fresh opponent like Moose to work with would be exciting to see.  Moose has also shown that he can put in the work in the ring when he needs to and he would no doubt step up here and get himself over as a star, even in defeat.
