Kenny Omega and IMPACT Vice President Don Callis shocked the world last year when Callis not only betrayed AEW’s hospitality in aiding Kenny Omega’s win for the AEW World Title but also took Kenny and the belt to IMPACT Wrestling. This marked a turning point in wrestling as we know it, as this signaled the formation of a partnership between the two biggest wrestling companies in the world not called WWE. Since arriving in IMPACT, Kenny Omega reunited with his former Bullet Club stablemates The Good Brothers and wreaked havoc on the locker room, inciting the rage of the IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann and the former IMPACT Tag Team Champions The Motor City Machine Guns, who also have a gripe with the Good Brothers.

This heated collision incited by brand loyalty and pride is sure to be one that won’t be forgotten for years to come. While Kenny Omega is on the run of his career, Rich Swann has the home field advantage and has more at stake. Can Swann prove to be the one and only world champion that matters in IMPACT Wrestling?

Sami Callihan versus Eddie Edwards – Hard to Kill Barbed Wire Massacre

Hard to Kill Eddie Edwards Sami Callihan

The age-old wrestling adage of “fight forever” could not be more relevant to the years-old battle between Eddie Edwards and Sami Callihan. This past Tuesday on IMPACT, Callihan seemed to bring their feud to a new level when he revealed during their match that he had locked up Alisha Edwards backstage, causing Edwards to run to the aid of his wife. Ken Shamrock, Callihan’s running buddy in recent months, jumped Edwards before he could unlock Alisha’s cage, allowing Callihan to tie up and nearly scathe his rival with barbed wire.

Sami Callihan is the only competitor in IMPACT with experience in a “barbed wire massacre”, as he was involved in the last one, with OvE taking on LAX in 2018. However, Eddie Edwards is a broken man thanks to his rivalry with Callihan, and he has proven in recent years that he can be just as, if not more, violent than Callihan. Who will come out on top? Is this the end of their storied rivalry?

Knockouts Tag Team Tournament Finals – Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz versus Havok and Nevaeh

Kiera Hogan Tasha Steelz Havok Nevaeh

The months-long Knockouts Tag Team Tournament finally reaches a conclusion as IMPACT will crown champions this Saturday. Both teams involved in the finals have a lot of momentum going in, having defeated some tough foes in the tournament. Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz easily shut down the young upstart team of The Sea Stars in the first round, but had their work cut out for them in the established team of Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary. However, The Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo and her partner Kimber Lee involved themselves in the finish of the match, rekindling the feud between Valkyrie/Rosemary and the champion, thus allowing Steelz and Hogan to advance to the finals. Meanwhile, Havok and Neveah managed to dominate two unseasoned teams, destroying Alisha Edwards and Tenille Dashwood in the first round and upsetting Jazz and Jordynne Grace in the semifinals.

Both teams in the finals have a large number of wins outside the tournament and have arguably already been the strongest teams in IMPACT for the past year. However, which one is the top? Who will be the new IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions? We will find out at Hard to Kill.
