#AndNEW: Sasha Banks, Randy Orton Become Champions At HIAC

Sasha Banks Hell in a Cell

Hell in a Cell proved to be one of the best and most newsworthy PPVs of the year for WWE as two new champions were crowned inside the structure. Here’s how Sasha Banks and Randy Orton walked out #AndNEW.

Sasha Banks defeats Bayley to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion

Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks carries herself like no one else. She knew that one day the SmackDown Women’s Championship would be hers and she’d do anything to make that a reality. On Sunday night, she and her former best friend Bayley went to war. They managed to recapture that magic from NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn and left the WWE faithful stunned and amazed considering what they went through. After more than a dozen kendo stick shots, devastating meteoras, and countless crashes and burns, Banks found what it took to finish off the year-plus long reign of Bayley. The Banks Statement with Bayley’s neck wrapped by a steel chair. It was devastating, magical, and fantastic all in one barbaric Hell in a Cell. But finally, Sasha Banks is SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Randy Orton defeats Drew McIntyre to become the new WWE Champion

Randy Orton Sasha Banks

Randy Orton did everything in his power to capture the WWE Championship once again in his career and on Sunday night, he finally made it a reality. In a grueling encounter with the now-former champion, Drew McIntyre, Orton captured his 14th world championship. The new champion pulled out all the stops to try and get McIntyre down long enough to pin. From climbing the Cell, baiting McIntyre into a spot where Orton would force him to come crashing down from the side through an announce table to only needing one RKO to finish him off. Orton put McIntyre through the wringer and it almost was not enough, but somehow, someway, he walked out as the new WWE Champion.
