Fred Rosser (FKA Darren Young) To Make His NJPW Debut

LGBTQ Wrestlers: Fred Rosser

Former WWE star Fred Rosser will make his New Japan Pro Wrestling debut on September 4th as part of New Japan Of America as the company has been running tapings with US-based talents for a number of weeks now.  Rosser currently doesn’t have a match announce but the company has already begun hyping his debut

Fred Rosser had a run in WWE as Darren Young which saw him rise to prominence on NXT when it was still a pseudo game show.  It was during his time on NXT that he formed the Prime Time Player tag team alongside Titus O’Neill. The two would win the WWE tag team championships in 2015 but would inevitably split, Young would eventually be managed by Bob Backlund in an attempt to “make Darren Young great again” but it never took off and he was released in 2017.  Rosser made headlines during his time with WWE for publicly coming out as gay

Rosser has stuck with wrestling although his most high profile indie work to date is for CHIKARA as he competed in their King Of Trios tournament alongside two other former Nexus members.  With 18 years of experience, Fred Rosser has the opportunity to prove that he can hang in an NJPW ring with some of the best wrestlers in the US
