#AndNEW: 3 New Champions At Stardom Cinderella Summer In Tokyo

Stardom Cinderella Summer In Tokyo

Stardom returned to Korakuen Hall for Cinderella Summer in Tokyo with the promise of at least two new champions. In the end, we got three new champions as the High Speed Championship, the Goddesses Of Stardom Championship and the Wonder Of Stardom Championship all changed hands.

In the main event, Giulia defeated Tam Nakano via referee stoppage to become a double champion and claim the vacant Wonder Of Stardom Championship.  Smart money was always on Giulia who has the rocket strapped to her back but the story involved led many to believe Nakano had a chance to pull off the upset.  Instead, Giulia remains undefeated in singles competition in Stardom and adds a second title to her growing list of accolades

As was predicted in our show preview the Queen’s Quest duo of Saya Kamitani and Utami Hayashishita walked away as Goddesses Of Stardom champions as they were involved in a feud with the former titleholders Jamie Hayter and Bea Priestley which can now continue whenever the two can come back to Japan

The final title change was teenager AZM capturing the high speed title.  Stardom had swerved many into thinking Starlight Kid would win the title from Riho but it was the boss of Queen’s Quest AZM who pinned her rival Kid after debuting new entrance music and gear, which are always a sign of a renewed push.

Elsewhere on the card, Mayu Iwatani got her next challenger as Syuri wanted a world title match.  Iwatani agreed and indicated it would be at their Yokohama show in the brand new 3000+ seat Yokohama Budokan
