WCWO Set to Relaunch in Indianapolis on July 10

Wild Championship Wrestling Outlaws (WCWO), one of longest-running indie promotion in Indiana and one of the longest in the Midwest, is officially rebooting on July 10th with The Relaunch. Based out of Indianapolis, it was founded by longtime Midwest indie wrestler “Dangerous Bull” Don Basher in 1997 and held their last event this past February before the COVID-19 pandemic put indie wrestling on hold. Sadly, during the shutdown, Don Basher passed away on June 24, 2020. WCWO is relaunching this weekend, with Basher’s son Joey Kidd Owens, another Midwest veteran, taking over the helm. WCWO sent us this press release for the show this weekend and told us they’d be making a huge announcement regarding their future home for airing shows.

The longest-running wrestling promotion in Indiana returns on July 10th with a blockbuster show.

Wild Championship Wrestling Outlaws (WCWO), based in Indianapolis and known affectionately as ‘The Dub’, will showcase some of the best wrestling talent in the Midwest with ‘The Relaunch’. The show is the company’s first since March, and the first under new management since the untimely death of owner and creator, ‘Dangerous Bull’ Don Basher.

The new man in charge – Indiana wrestling legend Joey Kidd Owens, the son of Don Basher – has put together an incredible card that has got the city talking. The company has been running every Friday night at 1151 Kentucky Ave for over a decade, with the company standing strong for well over a quarter of a century. WCWO will resume running every Friday night to packed houses and raucous crowds.

WCWO has garnered a reputation as a proving ground for talent, many of whom have gone on to enjoy memorable careers at different levels of the industry. Anyone and everyone in the Midwest independent scene will have passed through the hallowed doors of The Dub, and it’s a tradition that the new management aims to continue on with.

With a bevy of championships on the line, The Relaunch promises many twists, turns and
excitement. The card is as follows, with the potential of more being added before Friday night. There will be COVID-19 related restrictions on audience numbers as well as socially distant seating arrangements.
