Preview: DDT TV Show #7

DDT TV SHOW #7

With Dramatic Dream Team (DDT) holding their first show with fans in a long time on Sunday. Things are finally seeming like they’re getting back to normal. Or as normal as DDT can be at the very least. And at the last show a new man stepped up to stare down the strong champion, along with many other challengers named. With this being stated there are already matches being named for the next show. But the focus is on here and now with a strong showing as DDT exits a scary time, and enters with slow steps a hopeful future with DDT TV Show #7.

Keigo Nakamura vs Hideki Okatani

These two have been teaming together as two of the more inexperienced members of the roster. As such they haven’t gained many wins. Though recently Jun Akiyama has taken a shine to Hideki Okatani along with a few other members of the roster. And during his Peter Pan 2020 Match, against DAMNATION he showed great resilience. So it’s time to see who has more potential.

Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship Delayed Entry Battle Royal: Danshoku Dino (c) vs Shinya Aoki vs Antonio Honda vs Shunma Katsumata vs MAO vs Mizuki Watase vs Yukio Naya

A staple of DDT returns, the delayed entry battle royal. The match begins with two people and after a set amount of time a new person will enter, eliminations can be caused by pin, submission, and going over the top rope. This is usually how the title is contended for on shows, and the title can change multiple times during matches. So if there was ever a way to tell some sense of normalcy was returning this is one of the signs. So it feels good to see this.

DISASTER BOX! (Toru Owashi/Naomi Yoshimura/Kazuki Hirata) vs ALL OUT (Konosuke Takeshita/Akito/Yuki Iino)

Kazuki Hirata made his return on Sunday, to a defeat. But he didn’t lose his spirit, he was the same Hirata as when things left off. On DDT TV SHOW #7 teams with his DISASTER BOX! teammates to take on ALL OUT who look to regain some momentum after losing both of their matches last week. At the same time DISASTER BOX has its own momentum to regain as a unit, but with the spirit of Hirata Go! who knows what will take place.

Jun Akiyama vs Makoto Oishi

Makoto Oishi wished to learn under Jun Akiyama and join the ranks of Mizuki Watase and Hideki Okatani of his trainees. To that Akiyama responded with offering him a match claiming that the best way to learn his style is to fight him. The match was accepted and made. Oishi is ring smart and has held gold in the past something the past opponents of Akiyama have not. So while on paper it seems like Akiyama has this, Oishi could pull this one out of nowhere.

Yuki Ueno vs Mad Paulie

Yuki Ueno gave Tetsuya Endo a fright last week nearly capturing the KO-D Openweight title with the final Gauntlet. After retaining the KO-D Tag Titles against #STRONGHEARTS. He debuted a move that shook the world of DDT. The WR, this move has been unable to be awakened from. As it lead to a 30 Minute draw in the main event of the first show with fans. Now it’s up to Nautilus to defend the KO-D Tag titles against DAMNATION and with that Ueno faces the big bruiser of the group in Mad Paulie.

DAMNATION (Daisuke Sasaki/Soma Takao) vs HARASHIMA/Chris Brookes

DDT TV SHOW #7

Chris Brookes has not given up his hunt to reclaim the Universal title, and next week he gets his one on one rematch. First, he faces off against Daisuke Sasaki and Soma Takao with an unlikely partner in HARASHIMA. With the title match so close the targets are obvious, and with this being the second tag match with DAMNATION and HARASHIMA in such close order. The two must be getting to know each other well, but the question being will either Daisuke or Brookes even make it to DDT TV Show #8?

KO-D Six Man Tag Titles: #DAMNHEARTS (Tetsuya Endo/El Lindaman/T-Hawk) (c) vs Eruption! (Yukio Sakaguchi/Saki Akai/Kazusada Higuchi)

Eruption! has been unstoppable ever since they formed, being undefeatable as a unit. However, one major stumbling block came in their way. When they promised to take over the main event of Peter Pan 2020 only Kazusada Higuchi was able to succeed in his part. Taking the sword in DDT TV Show #1. Tetsuya Endo took the sword right back and caused their mission to be a failure. They rebounded quickly getting a win over #DAMNHEARTS on DDT TV Show #6 in a six-person match. Eruption! challenged and it was accepted by El Lindaman. Leaving a lot of questions in the air for DDT TV Show #7 the main one being will Endo put the end to another unstoppable force or will Eruption get a small measure of revenge by wrestling away a piece of gold from the waist of the man who ended their mission.
