Indie Watch: Lena Kross

Lena Kross

Indie Watch is our regular series that looks at all of the amazing talents working the independent circuits around the world. Some are veterans revitalising their careers, some are indie prospects hitting their peaks, while others are names to be on the watch for! This edition looks at one of the rising stars in the Australian women’s wrestling scene Lena Kross.

The Australian wrestling scene has produced an abundance of top tier women’s wrestling stars. Some of the most notable names to come out of Australia and make it on the global scene include Madison Eagles, Tenille Dashwood, Peyton Royce, Billie Kay, Toni Storm, Kellyanne, and Indi Hartwell. The next generation though is already making waves down under, at the top of that class is Perth’s Lena Kross.

With only three years of experience under her belt Kross is proving to be somewhat of a prodigy. Since beginning her training under the guidance of Mana ‘The Polynesian Warrior’ and Brian Heritor at New Horizons Pro Wrestling this young lady has gone from strength to strength.

Kross would make her in-ring debut in May 2017 alongside FaceBrooke (aka Steph De Lander), Michael Spencer, and Michael Morleone. Since then though Kross has gone on to face-off against the likes of Avary, Madison Eagles, Angelina Love, Saraya Knight, Kellyanne, Mercedes Martinez, Nicole Savoy, Su Yung, Tenille Dashwood, Hiroyo Matsumoto, Meiko Satomura, and Jessica Troy (a real collection of world class talents).

Following her debut in 2017 it would only take the Perth powerhouse 17 months to experience her first taste of gold when she would win the NHPW Warrior Rising Championship. Then just six months later she would capture the IndyGurlz Australia Championship from Mercedes Martinez, a title she still holds to this day.

Prior to COVID-19 halting the wrestling world Kross was set to make her international debut with Sendai Girls as part of the Meiko Satomura 25th Anniversary Tournament. When the wrestling world return to normalcy expect Kross to make big waves as she will be champing at the bit after seeing her global coming-out party halted.
