Two Huge Returns At ICW Square Go!

Square Go!

This past Sunday marked Insane Championship Wrestling‘s (ICW) 9th Annual Square Go! event, a night that completely changed the landscape of ICW as we know it with three new champions crowned, as well as a surprising but deserved winner of the Square Go! Match itself. Elsewhere on the show though, two huge names within ICW both made their long-awaited returns to the Insane Fight Club.

Leading up to the show, several videos had been shown on ICW events, with the final one airing a week before the show confirming ‘the rumours’ to all be true. While all signs were pointing towards DCT, who had left Scotland for Australia after losing the World Heavyweight Championship in September 2018, we instead saw the return of the man he lost the title to, ‘Just Justice’ Jackie Polo, who is now known as Justin Jaxn. However, immediately after Jaxn entered the ring, we were also treated to the ICW return of DCT, who brawled with Justin before the former multi-time Tag Team Champion retreated back up the ramp.

After departing ICW in autumn 2018, DCT rocked up in Australia, where he went on to compete for the likes of Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW), Battle Championship Wrestling (BCW), and Warzone Wrestling Australia (WWA). He would capture the WWA Heritage Championship from Jake Navara in May 2019, a title he held for three months before dropping it to Kaz Jordan. His final Australian wrestling match came on October 26th, where he defeated both Riley and Blaire Valentine in a Triple Threat Match at an event promoted by Adelaide Championship Wrestling (ACW).

As for Jackie Polo/Justin Jaxn, he lost the ICW World Heavyweight Championship to Lionheart at Fear & Loathing XI at the end of 2018, disappearing for two months before making a surprise return in the 8th Annual Square Go! Match. Heading into Shug’s Hoose Party 5, Polo was scheduled to face Jeff Jarrett, with the WWE Hall of Famer being replaced by NXT star KUSHIDA after ‘The King of the Mountain’ was unable to appear. Now, ‘Just Justice’ is long gone, as the era of Justin Jaxn begins.
