Report: Shotzi Blackheart Signed To NXT

Initially reported by Casey Michael at Squared Circle Sirens and confirmed by Dave Meltzer, it appears that indie star Shotzi Blackheart has signed with WWE and will be reporting to the WWE Performance Center. A 5-year pro, the California native has become a popular name on the US and international indies over the past year.

In 2015, she was a contestant on the latest season of WWE Tough Enough under her real name, Ashley Urbanski, but failed to make the final 14 after failing a medical late in the process. Since then, she went through the West Coast indie scene, working with Hoodslam, All Pro Wrestling (APW), and more.

By 2017, she was firmly entrenched in the women’s indie scene, working with SHIMMER, Shine Wrestling, and RISE Wrestling, as well as breaking into the UK scene, wrestling with British Empire Wrestling (BEW), Preston City Wrestling (PCW), International Pro Wrestling (IPW), as well as Pro Wrestling EVE last year.

She made her debut with IMPACT Wrestling last year as well, but suffered an injury shortly after. She’s been one of the most traveled wrestlers across North America, working for US indies like Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), Bar Wrestling, Inspire Pro, Beyond Wrestling, IWA Mid South, and more, as well as Mexico’s Desastre Total Ultraviolento (DTU) and Canada’s Smash Wrestling. Shotzi Blackheart previously had an official WWE Tryout back in 2016.
