#AndNEW: Arik Royal Wins CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Title

This past weekend, Carolina Wrestling Federation (CWF) Mid Atlantic held the Johnny Weaver Cup tournament and this year’s had huge implications. CWF Mid Atlantic would be crowning a new CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion, after the previous champion, Trevor Lee, vacated the title after signing with WWE and heading to NXT (where he now competes as Cameron Grimes). In the tournament finals, it was Arik Royal who defeated Roy Wilkins to earn his second Heavyweight title and become the face of CWF Mid Atlantic once again.

A 13-year pro, “The ACE Supreme” Arik Royal has been a regular with CWF Mid Atlantic since 2008 and has been one of CWF’s big gold hunters – as well as now being a 2x CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion, he’s also a former 2x CWF Mid Atlantic Television Champion and 3x CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Team Champion – he’s also currently tag team champions in the All-Stars with his Johnny Weaver finals opponent Roy Wilkins. Royal has also competed for ACTION Wrestling, Nova Pro Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling, and others.
