Joe Hendry Confronts Dalton Castle in ROH Debut

Tonight at Ring Of Honor Live from Center Stage in Atlanta, GA, during a promo with Dalton Castle, Joe Hendry made his debut challenging the former ROH World Champion. Castle came out to talk about what was missing from him and eventually directed to his waist stating he needed gold. It was then when new music hit and the voice of Joe Hendry. The prestigious one came out to challenge Dalton Castle and make a bold statement saying that Castle was now the second biggest personality in ROH.

Joe Hendry comes from Edinburgh, Scotland, U.K. and has wrestled for nearly 6 years. Hendry made his debut back on October 12th, 2013 with the Scottish Wrestling Alliance. He has wrestled for various promotions from around the world and recently wrestled for World Of Sport, IMPACT Wrestling and ROH throughout his more recent years. Hendry is more than just a professional wrestler, however.

Before his professional wrestling career, Hendry was a musician for over a decade and was signed to Sony Music. Hendry has a Masters Degree in Business Management and Marketing. Back in 2016, Hendry began working with whatculture as a co-host for the Mixed Martial Arts division of whatculture with Tom Ransom and has been covering all the biggest MMA shows since his debut.

In 2018, Hendry entered the Commonwealth Games after competing in amateur freestyle wrestling in 2014. With consistency and an incredible work ethic, Hendry would eventually win the 2017 national championship to earn his way into one of Australia’s biggest sporting events.

What makes Hendry a very special talent, is his ability to incorporate everything he’s achieved into his performance as a professional wrestler. Hendry, with a great singing voice and outstanding athleticism, brings the sports entertainment side of his performance with his unique entrance themes, usually him singing and introducing a music video of himself playing a new song he’s composed.

Couple that with his amateur and professional wrestling background, along with his great speaking abilities, such as with tonight’s debut for ROH, and you have the complete package for what a great performer should be. Hendry checks all the boxes and comes to ROH with a different yet very special approach that promises to make him stand out.
