#AndNEW: Two New Champions Crowned At ICW Shug’s Hoose Party 6

ICW Shug's Hoose Party 6

Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) returned to Glasgow’s O2 Academy this past weekend for the sixth annual Shug’s Hoose Party weekend. During the two intense nights of action, we saw two new champions crowned as both the World Heavyweight and Zero-G Championships would change hands.

#AndNEW: Stevie Boy Wins ICW World Heavyweight Championship

The second night’s main event would see Wolfgang go into battle with a mystery opponent handpicked by Mark Dallas set to face him for the vacant ICW World Heavyweight Championship. Who was this mystery opponent? The Filthy Generation‘s Stevie Boy, making his return from an injury that he suffered last summer.

As we immediately saw when he tied up with Wolfgang, The Pharoah of Filth hasn’t missed a single beat, and he would eventually go on to lift the title for the second time in his career. His original run with the championship would last just a few short months before he lost it to DCT, his last match prior to undergoing surgery. The win now makes him the fifth man to be a multi-time holder of the ICW World Heavyweight Championship, following in the footsteps of former three-time champ BT Gunn, as well as two-time holders James Scott, Drew Galloway, and Joe Coffey.

#AndNEW: Liam Thomson Wins ICW Zero-G Championship

While Stevie Boy may be an accomplished performer within ICW, someone who hasn’t had quite the same amount of huge championship victories is Liam Thomson. Despite being a stalwart of ICW for years, The Bad Boy had never actually tasted gold in his ICW career. That changed on night one of Shug’s Hoose Party 6 however, as he pinned Joe Coffey to capture the Zero-G Championship.

The win was sort of a full-circle moment for Liam. He had been out injured since the summer of 2017, with many thinking he had in fact quietly retired. With his return to ICW at Shug’s Hoose Party 5 last July though, it was clear that The King of Sink Style still has plenty of fight left in him, as evidenced with this victory here.
