Beyond’s biggest show of the year is only two weeks away and the season one finale of Uncharted Territory is only 3 weeks away. What has become one of the best weekly wrestling shows and the best (only) weekly independent streaming will be looking to close strong. With almost every match announced for Americanrana expect this week to tie up any loose ends and just put on another great show. Episode 16 of Uncharted Territory has once again a stacked line up that will impress any independent wrestling fan.
Josh Briggs vs Anthony Greene
At least weeks Evolve the very first independent match to be shown live on the WWE network was this match between best friends Josh Briggs and Anthony Greene. This week’s Uncharted Territory will be main evented by a rematch. Briggs and Greene have a long history over throughout their careers but also during Uncharted Territory. Both filled in on commentary. Both were there to save each other when the other was in sticky situations. Expect these two to once again put on a show for everyone. Briggs picked up the win at Evolve so Greene will have everything to prove for this match.
Kris Statlander vs Solo Darling
Last week Kris Startlander announced her plans to challenge long-time rival Kimber Lee at Americanrana ‘19. She was then interrupted by Solo Darling who told her if she was going to announce a match at Americanrana she was going to have to go through Solo Darling. Solo has been a staple of Uncharted Territory and has put on an impressive body of work but it is certainly rivaled by Kris Statlander. Statlander has had some of Uncharted Territories best matches against the likes of Joey Janela and Josh Briggs. If anyone is going to put on two wrestlers are going to put on one of the best matches in Uncharted Territory season one expect it to be these two.
Nick Gage and Thomas Santell vs Richard Holliday and Kenn Doane
Last week the oddball pairing of Nick Gage and Thomas Santell debuted with a win over Milk Chocolate. This week they will be taking on the man who created the tag team, Richard Holliday. Three weeks ago Nick Gage had a match against Richard Holliday that went to a no-contest when Holliday attacked Gage. Thomas Santell saved Gage and was not greeted with a warm response. At Uncharted Territory episode 14, Thomas Santell was attacked by Richard Holliday before that match could even start Gage returned the favor. Thomas Santell has also been announced to be taking on the Chop n Roll Express Bryan Alveraz and Filthy Tom Lawler at Americanrana ‘19 with a partner of his choosing. As of right now the team of Gage and Santell is undefeated and will be looking to put the former Spirit Squad member who has been harassing Uncharted Territory and Richard Holliday.
John Silver vs Leyla Hirsch
Leyla Hirsh was a late arrival to Uncharted Territory but she has certainly had an impressive few weeks. She lost her Discovery Gauntlet debut but came back with a win at Women’s Wrestling Revolution. Leyla then went on to have an impressive match with Solo Darling but Solo picked up the win. Leyla’s first big win at Uncharted Territory was last week tagging with Kris Stratlander against the Top Dogs. It seems that John Silver has officially split the Beaver Boys up, who haven’t tagged together since Uncharted Territory episode 8. Silver has had a hit or miss solo career losing to some big names like Tom Lawler and Chuck O’Neil but getting a win over Brandon Thurston. Silver will be looking to add another win to his Uncharted Territory record against the up-in-comer Leyla Hirsch.
Chris Dickinson vs Fred Yehi
If you haven’t watched a Chris Dickinson match from Uncharted Territory do yourself a favor and watch any single one of them. Dickinson’s run has been Herculaic, taking on some of the biggest and baddest talents from around the country. Dickinson this weekend had a pinched nerve flare up and had to cancel his GCW match. Chris will be taking on a great technical wrestler in Fred Yehi and with his bad leg, Yehi has every chance to stop Dickinson’s run dead in its tracks only two weeks before the end goal of Americanrana ‘19.
Wheeler Yuta vs Brandon Thurston
These two have been two of the unsung heroes of Uncharted Territory. With so many big names coming weekly to Uncharted Territory it is easy to get lost in the shuffle. Back in week 4, Brandon Thurston had one of the best Uncharted Territory matches in a 20+ minute classic against Jay Freddie. Thurston would go on to get a huge win in a fatal four-way at Beyond’s Boston Secret Show. Yuta has quietly gone undefeated in Uncharted Territory beating everyone from Solo Darling to Chuck Taylor. Expect these two to put on a very good match somewhere in the middle of the card.
ThenButcher And The Blade vs American Strong (Rory Gulak and Jay Freddie)
The Butcher and the Blade have made a huge name for themselves on the independent circuit. At Americanrana ‘19 they will be taking on the legendary tag team Rock n’ Roll Express but before then they will have to take on American Strong. Rory Gulak and Jay Freddie had a few great matches on Uncharted Territory. Gulak’s match with Ophidian was a standout. While Jay Freddie vs Bradon Thurston was one of the best matches of Uncharted Territory. Freddie and Gulak team fairly regularly as a tag team in Beyond under the name American Strong but will be making their Uncharted Territory debut this week trying to slow Butcher and the Blade down before their big Americanrana match.
