On April 4th, 2019, IMPACT Wrestling presents a once in a lifetime event, United We Stand, which is shaping up to be a supershow with representatives from IMPACT Wrestling, AAA Lucha Libre, All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Major League Wrestling (MLW), WrestlePro, and even Lucha Underground, as each promotion join together for an evening filled with a concoction of unbelievable talent and a card that is can’t miss! While the card is still shaping up, we will take a look at what to expect so far.

Ultimate X Match: Jake Crist vs. Kotto Brazil vs. Jack Evan vs. Dante Fox vs. Pat Buck vs. Johnny Impact

The Ultimate X Match returns but this time involving some of the best of the best from several different promotions. MLW presented by Kotto Brazil, IMPACT Wrestling by Jake Crist, Lucha Underground by Dante Fox, AAA Lucha Libre by Jack Evans and Wrestle Pro by Pat Buck. This is an unprecedented match as there are currently five different promotions technically involved in this match, and after recent tweets sent out by IMPACT Wrestling regarding Johnny Impact REFUSING to challenge Brian Cage for the IMPACT Wrestling Heavyweight Title, Johnny has demanded to be in the Ultimate X match, which IMPACT Wrestling has finalized. The stakes just got higher with the IMPACT Wrestling Heavyweight Champion in the match.

IMPACT X-Division Championship: Rich Swann (c) vs. Flamita

United We Stand will live to its moniker as IMPACT Wrestling and its partners will team up to show the world what wrestling is when everyone can partner up. In the X-Division Title match, we will see Rich Swann defend his X-Division Title versus. Swann was originally slated to defend his title against Dragon Gate‘s Yamato, but Dragon Gate recently found out their crew were denied their work visas for the weekend. In his place is another Dragon Gate star and AAA luchadore in Flamita. Flamita has been making waves with his tag partner Bandido the past year, but on Thursday, he’ll get to showcase his singles ability.

Monster’s Ball: Sami Callihan vs. Jimmy Havoc

The last time these two faced off was at an IMPACT Wrestling One Night Stand event for MediaCon in the UK. Bloodshed followed almost immediately between these warriors. This time, Sami Callihan and AEW’s Jimmy Havoc battle will battle in a Monster’s Ball match, a match quite fitting for the two individuals. Expect gore, and more gore, followed, by more gore with this match, as both opponents here are will go to no end to come out the winner.

Tessa Blanchard vs. Joey Ryan

IMPACT Wrestling continues to be on the cutting edge of pro wrestling. With truly compelling storylines and unmatched wrestling matches bysome of the most talented workers in the world, we will have a historic Intergender match between The “Undeniable” Tessa Blanchard and The “King Of Dong Style” Joey Ryan. There’s not enough you can say about these two world reknowned athletes. Tessa Blanchard has proven time and time again that she can put on the best matches in any wrestling promotion versus anyone, including the men.

Enter Joey Ryan, the master of the “Dick Flip”, the licker of all lollipops, but most of all, an in ring technician who can do it all. Joey Ryan, one of the most in demand talents around the globe, ironically makes his way to where it all began, IMPACT Wrestling. Joey Ryan looks to show everyone that he truly is no joke, and will make his way through Tessa Blanchard and anyone else.

Knockouts Championship Fatal Four Way: Taya Valkyrie (c) vs. Rosemary vs. Jordynne Grace vs. Katie Forbes

Photo: IMPACT

IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion, Taya Valkyrie will have her hands full at United We Stand as “La Wera Loca” has a date with three other tough opponents. In one corner, “Big Momma Pump” Jordynne Grace, an absolute powerhouse with uncanny strength and speed, an anamoly of an IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts. In another corner, Rosemary, the Queen of the Dark Realm, and former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion. Rosemary is obviously no stranger to the championship scene and comes in the match with all her demons, and in another corner, Katie Forbes.

Katie Forbes comes in as the wild card, with only a few years of in ring experience, Fobes comes in with the advantage of little to scout from her opponents. Forbes has wrestled for such promotions as Ring of Honor, Women of Wrestling (WOW, where she competes as Khloe Hurtz), Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) and others. Forbes, another powerful competitor, will come in looking to make an everlasting first impression. Could we see Forbes, or any of the other Knockouts, possibly walk out as the Knockouts Champion?

Handicapped Match: Team IMPACT (Brian Cage, Moose & Eddie Edwards) vs. Team Lucha Underground (Drago, Daga, Aerostar & Marty the Moth)

Photo: IMPACT

In 2018, we were witnesses to a history-making match involving two groundbreaking promotions in IMPACT Wrestling and Lucha Underground. This special event was received with rave reviews and it looks like we will be able to see another spectacular performance yet again as team IMPACT will face off against team Lucha Underground. Due to captain and IMPACT World Champion Johnny Impact withdrawing (he didn’t want to team with rival Cage), Team IMPACT will consist of Brian Cage, Moose, and Eddie Edwards and team Lucha Underground will be comprised of Marty the Moth, Daga, Drago, and Aerostar in a now handicap match. This match is guaranteed to bring some of the best high flying aerial maneuvers from both teams, but only one team will come out as the winner.

LAX (Santana & Ortiz) w/ Konnan vs. Promociones Dorado (Low-Ki & Ricky Martinez) w/ Salina de la Renta

Photo: IMPACT

In a historic partnership with IMPACT Wrestling, MLW will be on hand for United We Stand as we will see the return of a TNA Original, the legendary Low-Ki, team up with Ricky Martinez, as they represent one the strongest factions in MLW, Promociones Dorado, led by Salina De La Renta. Both men will be facing Santana and Ortiz, LAX, led by Konnan, as the story between Konnan and Promociones Dorado continues.

You may recall, Konnan made his return to pro wrestling in MLW, and a match was set up between he and Low-Ki. The result of the match was a bloody one as Low-Ki and team bruatalized Konnan and mugged him to the point Low-Ki SHANKED Konnan, leaving him in a pool of his blood. Konnan, the ever-resourceful one, brings in the big guns as LAX look to end this war once and for all at United We Stand.

Extreme Death Match: Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix) vs. Rob Van Dam & Sabu

Photo: IMPACT

It is a match no one would have ever thought they would see – The Lucha Bros., Pentagon Jr. and Fenix, to go one on one against the legendary team of Rob Van Dam and Sabu. Pentagon and Fenix have surely made their names across the world, with each getting noticed from the hit television series Lucha Underground. Since season one of the show, the duo has made a name for themselves, as a team, and as singles competitors. Fenix is currently the AAA Mega Campeon, as he defeated Jeff Jarrett at Triplemania XXVI in 2018, he is a co-title holder of the IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Championship, and he currently holds 2 other tag team titles with AAW and WAR.

Pentagon Jr. is a competitor like none other. A Luchador with Charisma for days, he is best known for his moniker of “Cero Miedo”, which translates to “Zero Fear. Pentagon also made his name in Lucha Underground where he was involved in a story which consisted of him making sacrifices in the form of breaking arms for his master. It was not until we saw him in a most violent match against the Lucha Legend, Vampiro, where we found out at Ultima Lucha that Vampiro was his master. Pentagon would go on to reshape himself in season 2 and would become Pentagon Dark, to prepare himself against Matanza Cueto after being brutally beaten by Cueto earlier in the season.

Since Lucha Underground, Pentagon Jr. has travelled around the world where he would become the IMPACT Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, PCW ULTRA Heavyweight Champion, the Lucha Underground Champion, and currently holding 3 tag team titles from three different promotions along with his brother Fenix. Pentagon has been known to get hardcore with such matches against Vampiro and Sami Callihan, to name a couple.

The Lucha Bros. will have their hands full this particular weekend as they go up against two men whose names go back to the original ECW, three letters that echo to this very day, Rob Van Dam and Sabu. RVD is known the world over and is undoubtedly a future WWE Hall Of Famer. Rob Van Dam wrestled for the big three in the ’90s with WWE, WCW, and ECW, but it was in ECW where RVD would find his fame and take it to superstardom. RVD was best known for his 700-day title run as the ECW Television Champion. He would best be known as the Whole F’N Show”. RVD also held the ECW Tag Team Championship with partner Sabu on two different occasions.

RVD would later reach the pinnacle of his career when in 2006 at ECW One Night Stand, he would defeat John Cena at the Hammerstein Ballroom to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and also hold the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. Rob Van Dam would later hold onto the TNA Heavyweight Championship when he defeated The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles. In 2019, RVD still wrestles here and there and this will be his first match in 2019.

The Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal Sabu is a name that is synonymous with hardcore wrestling. A man who has competed in what many call the ECW before the original ECW was born, FMW (Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling), a promotion that was well known for some of the most violent matches the industry has ever seen. From barbed wire matches to matches involving explosives, fire, etc. Sabu brought his violent nature to every major promotion from ECW, WCW, WWF/E, and TNA Wrestling.

Sabu returns to IMPACT Wrestling to team with his former tag team partner, Rob Van Dam in what will be a historic match the likes we may never see again.
