WrestlePro‘s second event of the week is a co-production with Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), with Wrestle Pro vs. CZW at the Rahway Recreational Center in Rahway, New Jersey. Each promotion sends some of their best veterans or brightest emerging stars to battle as each promotion fights for superiority! It airs live on Fite.tv

While Fallah Bahh is best known today as one of the stars of IMPACT Wrestling, he’s actually a 14-year veteran of the New Jersey indie scene, starting with the Independent Wrestling Federation (IWF) in 2005, where he was a student of Kevin Knight. The former 2x IWF Heavyweight Champion also worked with the likes of Chaotic Wrestling in Massachusetts, and in 2008 began working for New Jersey’s Pro Wrestling Syndicate (PWS). In 2016, PWS went under, but from its ashes, co-owner Pat Buck created WrestlePro, where Bahh remained a top star and remains working alongside his IMPACT duties. Anthony Greene has been working the indies since 2012, starting off in his native Massachusetts and surrounding area, with Beyond Wrestling and Chaotic Wrestling, before joining CZW in 2017. Since then, his stock has risen considerably, and now the brash bravado of Anthony Greene and his Platinum Hunnies sidekicks Angel Sinclair & Ava Everett are breaking out as one of the new stars of the US indies.

Anthony Bowens vs. DJ Hyde

Anthony Bowens is another PWS alumn and student of Pat Buck, who has remained a standard bearer with WrestlePro. A former IWF Junior Heavyweight Champion and 2x WrestlePro champion, this rising star will face off against CZW owner and 3x CZW Iron Man Champion DJ Hyde. A CZW original who debuted with the company in 2003, he bought CZW in 2009.

Matt MacIntosh vs. John Silver

Matt MacIntosh was the last PWS Heavyweight Champion and the inaugural WrestlePro Champion and has been one of the company’s focal points for years. He’s also worked for Battle Club Pro, CZW, House of Glory (HOG) and others since his debut in 2013. He’s facing a veteran of the US indies in John Silver, best known to some as one half of the Beaver Boys alongside Alex Reynolds. A student of former ECW World Champion Mikey Whipwreck, he debuted in the New York indies in 2007, starting with New York Wrestling Connection (NYWC). He’s been working with CZW since 2011, as well as being one of the top stars with Beyond Wrestling.

Team España (Jos A & Jos B) vs. The REP (Dave McCall & Nate Carter)

A match-up of two top teams from each company. Team España began with PWS in 2014 and transitioned to WrestlePro in 2016, and alongside Nikos Rikos were the inaugural WrestlePro Trios Champions. They also compete in the Mid Atlantic area, with Carolina Wrestling Federation (CWF) Mid Atlantic and United Pro Wrestling Association (UPWA) in North Carolina, where they’re the reigning UPWA Tag Team Champions. The REP are the current reigning CZW World Tag Team Champions and have been the aces of CZW’s tag team division almost since they debuted together in 2012. They’re 2x CZW tag champs as well as two reigns as NYWC Tag Team Champions.

Craig Steele vs. Matt Tremont

Craig Steele has been wrestling since the early 2000s, starting out as the Pub Bully in Jersey Championship Wrestling (the precursor to Game Changer Wrestling). In 2013, he joined PWS and ultimately WrestlePro, where he was part of the last PWS Tag Team Champions (with Sandy Mann in the Taboo Crew) and the inaugural WrestlePro Tag Team Champions. Now he’s returned to more of a singles wrestler, bringing a tough brutality to his matches. On Saturday, he’ll be facing one of the top American hardcore names in the world, in former CZW World Heavyweight Champion “Bulldozer” Matt Tremont. Tremont is a savage in the ring and rarely has a ring not seen it painted red by his matches end. A tough contest for both men to determine the toughest man in either promotion.

Kris Statlander vs. Leyla Hirsch

In a women’s match-up, each promotion sends their brightest young stars to face off in what could be the show stealer. Kris Statlander is a trainee from Pat Buck’s Create-A-Pro Wrestling Academy, who debuted in 2017 with CAP and WrestlePro. In the last year, she’s exploded on the indie scene, working with CZW, Beyond Wrestling, NYWC, HOG, Queens of Combat (QOC), and more. In early March, she defeated Jordynne Grace for the Women Superstars Uncensored (WSU) Spirit Championship and is poised to be one of the breakout stars of 2019. Her opponent is one DJ Hyde’s pride and joy prospects from the CZW Dojo in Leyla Hirsch. Hirsch made her debut in 2016 and much like Statlander, has been on an incredible streak of late positioning her as another name to watch for in 2019. She’s picked up big wins in recent months against the likes of veterans like Mercedes Martinez and LuFisto, and even in intergender matches, defeating former 2x CZW World Champion Joe Gacy back in February at CZW Twenty. Keep an eye out for both of these women in 2019.

Dan Maff vs. Mance Warner

Photo: Wrestle Pro

Dan Maff has been a monster on the US indies for 20 years, trained by Homicide and MAGIC back in 1999. He started out with Jersey All Pro Wrestling (JAPW) with Monsta Mack in Da Hit Squad, a tag team that has collected gold for decades – 6x JAPW Tag Team Champions, plus title reigns in Impact Championship Wrestling (ICW New York), CZW and GCW. He also had a run in Ring of Honor in the mid-2000s, as part of BJ Whitmer‘s The Prophecy, with whom he won the ROH World Tag Team titles twice. But he’s equally destructive in singles competition, and in the main event of the evening, he’ll be facing the CZW World Heavyweight Champion Mance Warner, who is breaking out as a star to watch in 2019, following his stellar work in CZW and IWA Mid South on to his recent debut with Major League Wrestling (MLW).
