#AndNEW: AEW Invasion Sees Young Bucks Win AAA Tag Team Titles

Young

At the conclusion of Being The Elite Episode 142, we saw the camera pan towards Nick Jackson as he was prepping for travel. We’ve seen the Young Bucks already appear at DEFY Wrestling, and most recently with All American Wrestling (AAW), when they cost the Lucha Bros the AAW World Tag Team titles against LAX. But this time around, a passport was shown on top of Nick’s travel bag, which gave us the sense that the Bucks were traveling out of the country. Tonight at AAA Lucha Libres Rey De Reyes we saw exactly what the Bucks were up to.

In the main event tonight, The Luch Bros. squared off against Rey Escorpion and Texano Jr. of Los Mercenarios for the AAA World Tag Team Championship. The result of the match had Pentagon Jr. package pile drive Texano and winning the tag titles. After the match Konnan comes out and tells the Lucha Bros. that they have to beat the best tag teams. The lights went out and out came the Young Bucks to challenge them. The Lucha Bros. super kick Konnan thereafter.

The two teams got into an impromptu match for the AAA World Tag Team Championship. At the conclusion of the match, Pentagon Jr. package pile drives Nick Jackson, the same move to win the championships several minutes earlier, but could not get the three count. The Bucks got the advantage and wound up Meltzer driving Fenix on the ring floor. It seemed through the match as if the Young Bucks were in cahoots with Konnan through the match. At the conclusion of the match, The Bucks came out victorious with the Meltzer Driver to Pentagon getting the win. Surely, there is more to come on this developing situation leading to AEW Double Or Nothing as at the conclusion the alliance of The Young Bucks with Konnan was indeed the case.
