In a social media exchange between them, Smackdown Live Women’s champion Becky Lynch and Intercontinental champion Seth Rollins went through a war of words on whom “The MAN” really is. What first began as a tweet sent out by the official WWE Twitter account acknowledging that Rollins was the MAN while in Madrid, Spain, the Intercontinental champion was quick to quote that tweet tagging Becky Lynch in the process.

Becky Lynch, not being one to simply allow The Architect attempt to put himself over in the process, responded. Lynch has been referring to herself as ‘The Man’, by an extension of her feud with Charlotte Flair. Flair’s father, the sixteen-time World Champion, “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, would often receipt that ‘to be the man, you have to beat the man’. In calling herself the man (and because she beat a Flair for the title), Lynch is confident that it doesn’t matter woman or man that she stands above them regardless of who they are.

The exchange was furthered along by Rollins, who was referring to the Nature Boy in his following quoted tweet to Becky Lynch. While less assuming, Rollins was equally confident in his retort to Lynch but it certainly left it open for the Lass kicker to do more in the way of once again asserting her dominance as, the man.

If there was ever a moment when there was a checkmate moment between a twitter war it would appear that this was going to be it. Becky Lynch’s straight fire over Rollins was met with not only an accepted challenge but a request for him to say where he is that they could meet and settle it.

Regardless of whether or not the two would face each other it furthers Becky Lynch’s character progression and continued self-assurance in the process. If Seth Rollins wasn’t assured before of who the man really is, he certainly is after this tweet as it went unanswered. Without question, Lynch took Rollins challenge and inevitably burned it down.
Both Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins will be competing at Survivor Series in separate one on one matches of their own. Becky Lynch will face Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey while Seth Rollins will face United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in two separate champion versus champion matches.
