#AndNEW: Los Guerreros Laguneros Win CMLL World Trios Championship

Last night, the trio of Ultimo Guerrero, Euforia & Gran Guerrero (Los Guerreros Laguneros) regained the championship that they lost on Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre‘s 85th Anniversary. The win comes in the first defense of the title of the CL4N.

CMLL had their usual Friday night Arena Mexico show. In the man event, Los Guerreros Laguneros went head to head with Cibernetico, Zorro and Sharly Rockstar for the CMLL World Trios Championship. The Cl4N is an exterior group, formed primarily of ex AAA guys. This is the same trio that defeated the previous and now new champions in CMLL’s most important night of the year. Both teams wanted to win by the way of cheating, but it was the experience of Ultimo Guerrero that granted them the gold. After the match, now 5x CMLL World Trios Champion, Ultimo Guerrero, challenged the CL4N to a steel cage trios match.

Both teams have being feuding for a while. Cyber the Main Man (Cibernetico) was the first to arrive in CMLL from the independent scene and AAA Worldwide. Later, Klan Kaoz teammates Zorro and Sharly joined him in their quest to conquer CMLL. Fans have their eyes on the arriving Gilbert el Boricua (Mil Muertes), since he is part of Klan Kaoz in the independents.

The steel cage match is uncertain when will it happen. Next week, the Grand Prix tournament with international stars begins, headlined by Gilbert el Boricua and the Mexican team by Caristico. After that tournament, it could be that CMLL decides to finish the feud of Cl4N against Los Guerreros Laguneros. Although the feud has been long, it certainly hasn’t grant them a rise in attendance compared to LA Park matches. One thing for sure is that CL4N and Guerreros will leave it all at the line come that steel cage match.
