El Phantasmo Wins British J Cup

The second ever British J Cup once again had a lineup of great Junior Heavyweights.  New Japan stars KUSHIDA, Jushin Liger, Roppongi 3K (Sho, Yoh & Romero), Tiger Mask and Ryusuke Taguchi joined international stars Rich Swann, Bandido and Flamita as well as British Wrestling regulars Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis, David Starr, Dean Allmark, Kurtis Chapman and Chris Ridgeway as well as eventual winner El Phantasmo.  The now annual tournament was won by Jushin Liger last year and is a staple of the Rev Pro calendar.

The Canadian El Phantasmo has been a regular performer in the UK for over a year now.  His hardcore EDM entrance music and party-loving aesthetic make him right at home in British Wrestling.  Having made his name in ATTACK!, he has gone on to perform for Over The Top (OTT) Wrestling, Fight Club: PRO (FCP) and PROGRESS as well as Rev Pro.  Back home in Canada Phantasmo is a three-time ECCW champion.  The British J Cup is his first major accomplishment in British Wrestling to date.

ELP did not have an easy road to victory in the tournament, in his first round match, he defeated breakout star Bandido.  He then defeated legendary figure, and current holder, Jushin Liger.  In the final, he would go on to defeat Swann, KUSHIDA and Romero as he became the second ever British J Cup winner.
