There have been some serious movers and shakers since the 2023 dynasty tight end rankings. Kyle Pitts will continue to be a question mark, while the rookies shattered all expectations. Last year the difference between the tight end one overall (Travis Kelce) and the tight end six was five points per game. This year that has tightened up to three points per game, with the gap closing quickly. As Kelce ages out, what will the 2024 dynasty tight end rankings look like?
Note: The 2024 rookies will be added after the 2024 NFL Draft.

2023 Tight End Rankings – Dynasty Fantasy Football
The Future Is Bright
- Sam LaPorta
- Trey McBride
- T.J. Hockenson
- Mark Andrews
- Dalton Kincaid
Outside of injury, nothing is stopping the names on this list. Trey McBride has decided to explode to finish out 2023, while LaPorta and Kincaid are both on pace for top ten seasons for a rookie tight end ever. LaPorta has a real chance to break the rookie record, held by Mike Ditka. These are the studs that every manager should be trying to get early in startups.
Travis Kelce
- Travis Kelce
Yes, this is the most creative header. Kelce is the TE1 in redraft until he decides to stop playing football. The issue is that this could come as soon as this offseason. He’s already been contemplating retirement and no one would blame him for riding off into the sunset with Taylor Swift.
Hope, Performance and System Tight Ends
- Evan Engram
- George Kittle
- Kyle Pitts
- David Njoku
- Cole Kmet
- Jake Ferguson
Anyone looking for tight end explosions, Kittle is the clear answer. Engram has played out of his mind recently and could find himself the number two option in Jacksonville moving forward. Pitts and Kmet could both be on the receiving end of a new quarterback in 2024 amidst Justin Fields trade rumors. The Dallas tight end has been a top twelve tight end every season Dak is healthy, and Jake Ferguson looks to be the next in a long line of JAGs turned relevant from his target preferences. Ferguson won’t wow anyone with his individual talent, but he’s earned Prescott’s trust and that’s worth its weight in gold.
Free These Tight Ends
- Pat Freiermuth
- Michael Mayer
- Dallas Goedert
Goedert would be the number two option on a lot of teams. The Philadelphia Eagles are not one of them. Freiermuth and Mayer have been on the receiving end of some gross quarterback play, but Freiermuth has some production under his belt and Mayer was a good enough prospect to hold on hope.
Tight Ends Are Still Gross
- Tucker Kraft
- Luke Musgrave
- Chigoziem Okonkwo
- Cade Otton
- Tyler Conklin
- Greg Dulcich
- Taysom Hill
Did you know Tyler Conklin has the 12th most targets among tight ends? Now imagine if those were coming from Aaron Rodgers instead of Zach Wilson. He’s also going to turn 29 in the offseason, so he’ll be useful for a couple of seasons. Kraft and Musgrave are battling it out in Green Bay to see who will be fantasy relevant next season. Chig had a little bit of hope when Will Levis brought a spark to the offense, but has since trailed off. Dulcich made the 2023 sleepers list, but won’t be hard to acquire with his IR stint this season. Taysom Hill is cheating.
