Kenyon Sadiq Dynasty Outlook Following Jets Selection

Kenyon Sadiq was the 16th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, where the New York Jets selected him as the 1st and only tight end in the First Round. What is Kenyon Sadiq’s dynasty outlook as he joins a somewhat crowded Jets receiving room?

Dynasty Outlook for Rookie Jets Tight End Kenyon Sadiq

College Production

Sadiq spent three seasons at tight end for the Oregon Ducks. He only had 80 career receptions, with 51 of them coming in his final season, in which he had 560 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. This is not a lot of collegiate production for a top 16 draft pick, but he is an athletic freak.

New York Jets Landing Spot

Last season, the Jets did not have a strong group of pass catchers behind Garrett Wilson. They traded for Adonai Mitchell as part of the Sauce Gardner trade with the Jets, and still have Mason Taylor (TE), Isaiah Williams (WR), and Arian Smith (WR). Expect a lot of 12 personnel (two tight end sets) with Taylor being the more traditional tight end, while Sadiq lining up wide in the slot. Unfortunately, the Jets traded back into the 1st round to take wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr., who played most of his time out of the slot for Indiana. Sadiq and Cooper are going to be competing for targets behind Wilson.

The Jets offense has struggled mightily for years, and their new quarterback, Geno Smith, did not have a good season last year. Breece Hall and Wilson are the two centerpieces of this offense, and Smith is not going to be able to support any more fantasy-relevant weapons. Sadiq and Cooper will be competing with each other for targets and production in an offense that probably won’t be scoring much. This was not a great landing spot for Sadiq for his dynasty outlook.

Sadiq Dynasty Value

According to KeepTradeCut, a website that crowdsources dynasty values from players who use the site, Sadiq is the TE9. He is ranked behind Tucker Kraft, Sam LaPorta, and Kyle Pitts, while ahead of Oronde Gadsden, George Kittle, and Isaiah Likely. I like a lot of these players more than I do Sadiq, so I am expecting Sadiq’s dynasty value to fall over the next few weeks.

Sadiq Dynasty Rookie Draft

Sadiq is in the second tier of rookies for dynasty rookie drafts. There are many combinations, including SuperFlex and TE premium. Regardless of the format, the first six picks will be Jeremiyah Love, Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson, Fernando Mendoza, Jadarian Price, and Makai Lemon in some order. In TE premium leagues, Sadiq will go around the 1.07, and in non-TE premium leagues, he will go around the 1.08-1.10.

Sadiq Dynasty Outlook

This is not an ideal landing spot for Sadiq, competing with another rookie in Cooper for targets on a bad offense. There will be limited opportunities for Sadiq to break out, hurting his fantasy and dynasty outlook. However, the tight end position does not have many star players in it, so it does not take much production to be fantasy relevant.

Rookie tight ends have dominated over the last three seasons, with Sam LaPorta, Brock Bowers, and Tyler Warren all having great seasons. Sadiq does not have that high ceiling as those three did in their rookie seasons. For that reason, I would rather trade the first-round pick away for Sadiq rather than trade him away. Sadiq is a freak athlete, but being on the Jets with Cooper is concerning for his dynasty outlook.
