Jordyn Tyson Dynasty Outlook Following Saints Selection

Jordyn Tyson was the 8th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, where the New Orleans Saints selected him as the 2nd wide receiver off the board. What is Jordyn Tyson’s dynasty outlook as he joins Chris Olave, Tyler Shough, and the Saints offense?

Dynasty Outlook for Rookie Saints Wide Receiver Jordyn Tyson

College Production

Tyson spent one season at Colorado, catching just 22 passes, before transferring to Arizona State to spend his final three seasons. In his first season at Arizona State in 2023, he appeared in just three games and had zero receptions, as he spent most of the season rehabbing a knee injury he suffered in 2022. He bounced back with a strong 2024, catching 75 passes for 1101 receiving yards and ten receiving touchdowns. However, he missed the final two games with a collarbone injury. In his final season in 2025, he played in just nine games, catching 61 passes for 711 yards. This time, a hamstring injury caused the missed games.

Injuries were one of the biggest negatives around him entering the Draft, which is valid because he missed games in all four seasons due to three different injuries. However, all the injuries were to different body parts and are unrelated.

New Orleans Saints Landing Spot

The Saints really only had one good wide receiver entering the draft, and that was Chris Olave. With no disrespect to Devaughn Vele, Mason Tipton, and Bub Means, Tyson is much better than those three players. Olave is the WR1, but Tyson could make it a 1A-1B situation. Quarterback Tyler Shough was great down the end, showing enough that he could support multiple fantasy-relevant options. The Saints also have Travis Etienne Jr. and Alvin Kamara at running back, along with a strong offensive line. This should be a really good offense for the next few years.

Both Tyson and Olave have battled multiple injuries over the last few years, but if they both stay healthy, this will be an exciting offense to watch. If Olave were to miss time again, Tyson could handle the role of being his team’s WR1. However, both on the field will make this offense better.

Tyson Dynasty Value

According to KeepTradeCut, a website that crowdsources dynasty values from players who use the site, Tyson is the WR22. I expect that to rise a few spots once fantasy managers react to the Draft in the coming days and weeks. Currently, he is ranked behind Rashee Rice, DeVonta Smith, Marvin Harrison Jr., while ahead of Makai Lemon, Brian Thomas Jr., and Tee Higgins.

Tyson Rookie Mock Draft

Tyson and Carnell Tate will be the first two wide receivers taken off the board in dynasty rookie mock drafts. I give the slight lean to Tate as he is the clear WR1 on his team, while Tyson will be battling with Olave for targets. Yes, the Saints offense is better as a whole, but Tate’s higher target share and an expected improved Cam Ward and entire Titans’ offense puts Tate ahead of Tyson. With Jeremiyah Love as the 1.01, Tate, Tyson, and quarterback Fernando Mendoza will be the next three picks in superflex leagues in some order.

Tyson Dynasty Outlook

Dynasty managers should be feeling great about this landing spot, as Tyson has the highest ceiling of any wide receiver in this Draft. If it were not for the injury concerns, Tyson might have been drafted ahead of Tate. Expect big things from Tyson and the Saints offense as a whole, even though Tyson had to compete with Olave for targets and touchdowns.
