2. Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers are the most frustrating team in the league, as it’s impossible to know if they’re actually good or not. After all, this team apparently has the talent to take down the Los Angeles Rams, but cannot beat the New Orleans Saints. The defense can hold the Green Bay Packers to 13 points, but they also give up 27 points to the Atlanta Falcons. All that matters at the end of the day is that this team is 7-6 and only a half-game behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South race.
This team is chasing the playoffs for the first time since the Cam Newton days, and Kyzir White could be the final piece to help them close the gap in the standings. Head coach Dave Canales deserves all the credit in the world for turning this team around, but this still isn’t the most talented unit in football by any stretch of the imagination. The Panthers have a young roster, and a veteran like White could provide plenty of on-field and off-field help for this up-and-coming roster.
