4 Contenders Could Fight Over Released 73-Game Starter

3. Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts are in the midst of their best season in recent memory. Unfortunately, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans are also battling hard, and the 8-4 Colts would not win the division if the season ended today. Given their ridiculously hard closing schedule and the crowded battle for the Wild Card spot, the Colts could end up with a low seed or out of the playoffs entirely if they don’t improve the defense.

Indianapolis has a strong roster, but the biggest weakness is probably at the linebacker position. Germaine Pratt is a solid option, but Zaire Franklin has been an active liability. Someone must step up at the center of this defense, and the Colts might as well see if Kyzir White has anything left in his tank.
