2. New England Patriots
The New England Patriots control the AFC East, and their breakthrough season has come in spite of their running backs. Rhamondre Stevenson is down with a toe injury and wasn’t all that reliable when on the field, TreVeyon Henderson looks lost more often than not, and Terrell Jennings is a former undrafted free agent who has yet to see more than a handful of carries outside of garbage time. While running back isn’t the most important position, you need more talent than this to win football games in January.
Breece Hall would be the perfect trade target, as he’d turn a major weakness into a considerable strength. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels excels at scheming up targets for running backs, and Hall’s ability in the open field should give MVP candidate Drake Maye yet another reliable weapon. The only question is whether the Jets would trade their best player to their most hated division rival.
