2024-25 Season Series: Avalanche 2-2 Blackhawks

How to Watch:

U.S. TV: Chicago Sports Network; Altitude; NHL Network

Canada TV: Sportsnet; TVA Sports

Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EDT)

The second game of NHL predictions has the Chicago Blackhawks hosting the Colorado Avalanche. It looks like Colorado will go with Scott Wedgewood in goal for this game. The Avalanche are 9-0-1 in the last 10 games, including wins in eight consecutive games. Nathan MacKinnon leads the way in goals (17), assists (20), and points (37) so far this campaign.

Spencer Knight is the likely starter for the Blackhawks, who are 5-3-2 in the last 10 games. This includes a 9-3 drubbing at the hands of the Buffalo Sabres on Friday night. Chicago has dropped its last two games in a row, but the team has played better in the first two months of the season. Connor Bedard tops the team in goals (13), assists (18), and points (31).

The Blackhawks aren’t the basement dwellers that they have been the last few seasons. However, the Avs are on a roll.

Prediction: Avalanche win 5-2.
