Edmonton Oilers vs Vegas Golden Knights

Series: Oilers 0-1 Golden Knights

Our only and featured game of NHL predictions for Saturday night has the Edmonton Oilers looking to rally against the Vegas Golden Knights. Leon Draisaitl was the fifth player to get four goals in a losing effort in a post-season game. The German forward already has 11 goals in just seven Stanley Cup Playoff games. However, defence and goaltending issues reared their ugly head once again. Stuart Skinner is listed as the projected starter. However, there are always could be a chance that Jack Campbell gets in the goal. The Oilers are deadly on the power play, but need to keep the Golden Knights off the board a little bit better.

Laurent Brossoit is once again the projected starter, but always check social media before setting lineups if you play daily fantasy. Ivan Barbashev scored twice in the Game 1 win. Jack Eichel and Chander Stephenson also continued their strong post-seasons. Vegas also showed strength with its power play with two extra-man tallies. Special teams are going to tell the tale in this game and the Knights are going to want to stay out of the box. Scoring balance has something the Golden Knights have gotten throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Edmonton’s offence is explosive, but Vegas can keep pace. The Golden Knights do have to tidy some things up on the back end. However, they should take a 2-0 lead going back to Alberta.

Prediction: Golden Knights win 5-3.
