What It Means

It seemed like a foregone conclusion that Drysdale was going to re-sign in the City of Brotherly Love. General manager Daniel Briere has seemingly prioritized bringing back both Drysdale and Trevor Zegras to the team.

Philadelphia took a massive step forward and made the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since the COVID-19 bubble. It looked like the Flyers were clicking under first-year head coach Rick Tocchet and his system. However, the pressure is on to move up the standings and get the team into the mix for its first Stanley Cup since the 1970s.
