The Blues will be without attacking options Estevao, Jamie Gittens, and the suspended Mykhailo Mudryk. Filip Jorgensen has been out of the squad since the Champions League first leg defeat to Paris Saint-Germain after having surgery on an issue.

There will be late decisions made on Levi Colwill and Reece James, both defenders have been out but are seemingly back around the squad in training and could be on the bench.

The Tricky Trees are holding on by a thread with a long list of injuries to deal with and players fatigued from juggling a European campaign alongside a domestic one.

Callum Hudson-Odoi won’t feature at all this season, John Victor likely won’t either, Nicolo Savona had knee surgery in March, Murillo is a doubt and will be a late decision, Jair Cunha similarly is a doubt and will be a late decision, Ibrahim Sangare is in the same boat.

Dan Ndoye is facing a fitness test while right-back Ola Aina is hurt but has specifically been told to play through it if possible. Willy Boly is the last absentee, missing with a knee injury since February.

On top of all that, Chris Wood, Omari Hutchinson, Morgan Gibbs-White, Igor Jesus, Elliot Anderson, and Nicolas Dominguez are just some of the regulars who played in the Europa League on Thursday and could need to be rested or rotated.
