How Arsenal Have Lined Up Recently

In their last Premier League game, the Gunners drew 1-1 away at Brentford. They started in their unusual 4-3-3 formation. David Raya started in goal, while Jurrien Timber, Cristhian Mosquera, Gabriel, and Piero Hincapie completed the defence.

In the pre-match press conference, Arteta spoke positively about the availability of Riccardo Calafiori: 

“He’s fine; he was training with us today, he’s feeling better, and hopefully he’s fit for tomorrow,” said Arteta. 

Arteta also addressed Ben White coming off against Wigan and said: “It was just a bit of fatigue, obviously he did a lot in the game and by the end of it, he was feeling a bit of tightness in the hamstring, but he’s fine.”

The Gunners boss also spoke about the imminent return of Martin Odegaard: “No, for Wolves he’s not going to be fit. But for Sunday we’re very hopeful that he can be with us.”

Kai Havertz could also return for the North London Derby against Tottenham on February 22: 

“Kai is the other one that again, for the weekend is a possibility, so looking forward to having him in the squad,” said Arteta.
