Bournemouth vs Arsenal Confirmed Lineups for January 3

UEFA Champions League Matchday 7 Predictions Including Arsenal at Inter Milan

The penultimate matchday of the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday. We have predictions for every matchup including Arsenal’s trip to Italy to take on Inter Milan. Here is your look at all the action, we also have predictions for matches on Tuesday featuring Dortmund at Tottenham.

Bayer Leverkusen at Olympiacos

A win would put Olympiacos in contention for one of the knockout playoff places after a 1-2-3 campaign through six games, while Leverkusen at 2-3-1 need a win in a crowded table to ensure they will see the next phase of the Champions League. Leverkusen have been poor in the Bundesliga and sit 6th in the table after two consecutive defeats, while Olympiacos are nearly the leaders in Greece. A long injury list for Leverkusen makes their trip to Greece more challenging, with two first-choice centerbacks among the missing. Exequiel Palacios is also expected to miss out. With Olympiacos playing well, they have a real chance of managing points at home against a reduced Leverkusen side. Prediction: 1-1 Draw

PSG at Sporting CP

Sporting CP have been mid table in the UCL and sit second in the Liga Portugal. PSG are third in the UCL and second in France, they look prepared to reach the knockout phase of the UCL without an extra game. Sporting CP are solid at home but will miss Pedro Goncalves and at least four other regular starters. They welcome Geny Catamo back from AFCON though. PSG are still without Joao Neves, and Achraf Hakimi may miss this game due to the AFCON final. This matchup feels exciting, but PSG’s firepower likely proves too much in the end. Prediction: PSG 2 Sporting CP 1

Arsenal at Inter Milan

A can’t miss matchup of European giants, Inter Milan lead the table of Serie A in Italy, while Arsenal are winning the Premier League in England. Arsenal lead the UCL table, while Inter Milan retain hopes of finishing top 8 and bypassing the extra knockout phase of the tournament. Inter’s form in Italy has been better than their form in Europe where two consecutive UCL defeats dimmed their top 8 hopes. Missing Denzel Dumfries and Hakan Calhanoglu are also points of concern for the home team. Arsenal will face their former player Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Inter Milan needs this game more, and at home, they should find a way to get points against Arsenal, if Lautaro Martinez fires. 2-2 Draw

AS Monaco at Real Madrid

Former AS Monaco player Kylian Mbappe leads a Real Madrid side under interim manager Alvaro Arbeloa that is just one point off the lead in La Liga and is currently in the top 8 of the UCL. Monaco are 9th in France and have struggled to convert draws into wins. Mid table in UCL, they retain strong hopes of reaching the playoff phase of the UCL.

If Monaco are without US Men’s national team striker Folarin Balogun it would be a massive blow to their chances, also out is Paul Pogba and Takumi Minamino, while two players from AFCON winners Senegal are set to miss. Real Madrid’s future is uncertain, but playing at home, getting three points against Monaco should be well within their abilities. Prediction: Real Madrid 2 AS Monaco 0

Napoli at FC Copenhagen

Napoli need a win in Copenhagen to retain their place in the next phase of the UEFA Champions League, while they pursue hopes of a repeat Serie A title as well. Copenhagen are likewise trying to retain their place in the next phase. Home field advantage favors Copenhagen as striker Rasmus Hojlund returns to his boyhood club and his hometown. Napoli have struggled with fitness all season, three starting midfielders including Kevin De Bruyne are out, David Neres are also set to miss, while Hojlund badly wants to get on the scoresheet.

Copenhagen will miss Mexican international Rodrigo Huescas, but teenager Viktor Dadason is a next gen striker with poise and talent. With Napoli unimpressive in part due to injuries at the moment, this feels like Copenhagen’s moment for a breakthrough. Prediction: FC Copenhagen 2 Napoli 1
