Arsenal have enjoyed an impressive season, finding themselves six points clear at the top of the table. The Gunners have now been further boosted, with David Ornstein of the Athletic revealing that Bukayo Saka has agreed to a new and improved five-year contract.

The news of Saka committing his future to Arsenal is a huge boost for Mikel Arteta’s team and all connected with the club.
The England international was contracted until 2027, but the new deal, once finalised, will keep Saka at the Emirates until 2031. The 24-year-old is a massive part of Arsenal’s challenges in recent seasons, including scoring 20 goals and delivering 14 assists in all competitions in the 2023/24 season.

A product of the clubs Hale End academy, joining at the age of seven, he has worked his way through the age groups before making his debut in 2018. Since that debut, he has become a vital cog for the Gunners, and been described by Wayne Rooney as “one of the best players in the Premier League.” The future of the Gunners is looking bright, with new deals also agreed with William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myles Lewis-Skelly.

The England international has made over 250 appearances for Arsenal, scoring an impressive 77 goals and providing 78 assists for his teammates. This year has been somewhat frustrating, with injuries keeping him out, but he’s still scored seven goals in 27 games with Arsenal top of the Premier League, unbeaten in the Champions League, and in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup.
