Leeds United Predicted Lineup vs Bournemouth for September 27

Leeds United’s Premier League campaign continues with a home clash against Bournemouth, where the Whites will look to further build on what has been an impressive start to the season. Daniel Farke’s side handed Wolves a 3-1 away thrashing last time out, and will be hoping to pick up where they left off against the Cherries.

How Leeds Have Lined Up Recently

Leeds have named an unchanged side in their last two matches, and there were clear signs that things were starting to click in Wolverhampton. With Lucas Perri sidelined through injury, Karl Darlow has started in goal, and the Welsh international has been nothing short of fantastic, showcasing outstanding shot-stopping ability and an impressive knack for claiming crosses and dead balls.

In the centre of defence, Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk have played every minute so far this season, and the pair have been largely untroubled in Leeds’ opening five games. Jayden Bogle and Gabriel Gudmundsson have been similarly impressive at full-back, with the former looking more and more like an unbelievable bargain for the £5 million he cost the club last summer.

In midfield, the tireless Ethan Ampadu was flanked by Sean Longstaff and Anton Stach, who produced a dazzling free-kick for the Whites’ second goal. It was the first goal the club had scored from a direct free-kick since Ilia Gruev’s strike against Norwich back in May 2024, and highlighted the tremendous ball-striking ability that the giant German possesses.

Out wide, the dangerous Noah Okafor operated from the left, with the Swiss international scoring his first goal for his new side and tormenting Wolves defender Emmanuel Agbadou throughout the game. With Daniel James still recovering from injury, Farke again opted for Brenden Aaronson on the right-hand side.

Up front, Dominic Calvert-Lewin showed exactly what he is about with a towering header to open his Leeds account, which will certainly help to settle the former Everton man’s nerves. If he can stay fit, the England international will provide Leeds with a much-needed focal point, and his ability to hold up play and win aerial duels makes him a useful weapon when attempting to start attacking moves.

Leeds Recent Form and Tactics

Leeds quadrupled their goal tally for the season against Vitor Pereira’s side, putting to bed any fears that they will be unable to find the back of the net this season. Shortly after going 1-0 down, Farke’s men responded with aplomb, netting three goals in 15 minutes and securing his side’s second win of the campaign.

However, high-flying Bournemouth will present the Whites with a rather more difficult challenge than 20th-placed Wolves, so they will have to harness Elland Road’s intimidating atmosphere to get something from the game. Leeds are yet to concede at home this season, and will be looking to make Andoni Iraola’s side work extremely hard to break them down.

Leeds Absences to Consider

Farke has confirmed that Perri’s injury will keep him out of the Bournemouth game, with the Brazilian reportedly not in contention until after the upcoming international break.

Bogle is available, giving Leeds a huge boost after he was forced off against Wolves with a seemingly nasty knock.

Willy Gnonto is unavailable as he continues to recover from a calf injury, whilst fellow winger James faces a late fitness test to see if he can play any part in the game.
