Leeds United Predicted Lineup vs Bournemouth for September 27

Leeds United ‘Shining Light’ From Promotion Prefers Other Premier League Club ‘Beyond This Window’

With the summer transfer window deadline fast approaching, clubs are scrambling to complete last-minute deals. The Whites may be one of these, despite completing ten transfers already in the past three months. Leeds United fans may have hoped that Manor Solomon would return on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell in the past season, but it looks like he is set to stay at Tottenham Hotspur now.

Manor Solomon ‘Wants to Stay’

Alasdair Gold has reported that Solomon is keen to remain at Tottenham Hotspur as his career progresses. The 26-year-old “wants to stay” in North London “beyond this window”. He was named in the squad for Spurs’ fixture against Bournemouth at the weekend, with Dominic Solanke out injured.

However, the club are still open to listening to offers as the deadline approaches, before they make a “final decision”. Fabrizio Romano had previously revealed that both La Liga and Premier League clubs have called. The forward (on loan) was a “shining light” in Leeds’ promotion campaign, and many fans were hoping that he would be signed permanently. However, it appears that he prefers Tottenham Hotspur in the long-term.

Update: Crystal Palace Look Set for Loan

The Athletic have now revealed that Crystal Palace are in talks for a loan, with Randal Kolo Muani coming in for Spurs.

How Does This Affect Leeds United?

Leeds could still do with a fair bit of depth in their attacking support options. Daniel Farke himself has revealed concerns around the issue. The number ten position is a particular problem area, with no dead set option there: the Peacocks have played with a flat three in midfield this season, and Ao Tanaka – the most creative outlet – is now out.

Whilst Solomon is largely a left-winger, and played there at Elland Road in 2024/25, he is also capable of being an attacking-midfielder, and would surely have been a good option had Leeds secured a move in this window.
