Oxford United Travel to Hull
Team News, Form and Prediction
As for Hull, they played out a goalless draw at Coventry on the opening day before losing out on penalties against Wrexham in the Cup. The Tigers led 3-1 going into added time but the Welsh side netted two late goals before winning 5-3 in the shootout.
Oxford are still without Ciaron Brown, Luke Harris and Przemyslaw Placheta but Elliott Moore was available during the week despite being forced off against Portsmouth. Stan Mills also picked up a knock against Pompey but should be fit for this fixture, although Brian De Keersmaecker is still a doubt.
Hull also have a few sidelined with injury, including Lewie Coyle, Mohamed Belloumi, Liam Millar, Elliot Matazo and Enis Destan. The Tigers also have two former Oxford players in their squad in Kyle Joseph and John Lundstram, with the latter arriving on loan in the summer.
Oxford lost this fixture last season, despite taking the lead against their relegation rivals, but the U’s had won the reverse fixture at Grenoble Road under Des Buckingham. However, that was a first win in five meetings against the Tigers.
Predicted line-up: Jamie Cumming, Brodie Spencer, Elliott Moore, Michal Helik, Greg Leigh, Cameron Brannagan, Will Vaulks, Stan Mills, Tyler Goodrham, Siriki Dembele, Will Lankshear.
Prediction: Hull City 1-1 Oxford United
