Oxford United Striker Mark Harris Signs New Deal

Story So Far

Since his arrival as a free agent, Harris struck 19 times in all competitions as the U’s secured promotion from League One with a playoff final victory over Bolton at Wembley last summer.

His goals were crucial, but it’s his immense work rate, particularly off the ball, that pleases the Oxford supporters.

This season, the Wales international struck four goals in the opening four Championship fixtures, including a goal of the season contender against Blackburn. However, he would only add a further two throughout the rest of the campaign.

Despite that, he’s impressed under three separate Oxford managers and has earned himself a new deal.

What Was Said

After signing the new deal, Harris said: “The two seasons I have spent at Oxford United have been the most enjoyable in my career.

“From the day I arrived, the fans have been outstanding, supporting me through good and bad times. We have had some incredible highs, and I want to do everything I can to continue to provide more moments for this club.

“I feel settled here in Oxford, but I’m full of ambition to achieve more. Wembley was a moment I’ll never forget, and last season was another hugely successful season. I want to make sure there are many more special memories to come, and I can see how positive the future is going to be.”
