Bayern Munich Predicted Lineup vs Borussia Mönchengladbach For May 10

Having clinched the German Bundesliga title last Sunday, Bayern Munich technically have nothing to play for this season. But with it being the last home match of the term and the final competitive game in the Allianz Arena for club legend Thomas Müller, Saturday evening’s game against Borussia Mönchengladbach gives the team extra motivation to do well. Last Word on Football brings you our Bayern Munich predicted lineup for the match.

How Bayern Munich Have Lined Up Recently

Last time against RB Leipzig, the Bavarians began as follows: Jonas Urbig was in goal. Konrad Laimer, Eric Dier, Josip Stanisic, and Sacha Boey made up the backline. Meanwhile, Joshua Kimmich played alongside Aleksandar Pavlovic as the holding midfield duo, as Michael Olise, Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sané, and Müller made up the front four.

There were two changes compared to the previous game, as coach Vincent Kompany brought in Boey for the injured Kim Min-jae and Müller for the suspended Harry Kane.

Bayern Munich Recent Form and Tactics

Despite the draw in Leipzig and the three goals the team conceded in the process, recent form has been quite good. There were plenty of positives to take away from the second half in particular, given how well the team fought back from a two-goal deficit to put themselves within seconds of winning the game.

In terms of a tactical formation, Bayern will likely stick with the traditional 4-2-3-1, especially with the nearly certain return of Kane to the lineup.

Bayern Munich Injuries to Consider

Bayern are still without the long-term absentees Jamal Musiala, Dayot Upamecano, Alphonso Davies, and Hiroki Ito. Everybody else should be fit to play for now.

In Kompany’s pre-match press conference, there wasn’t much talk about injuries. The coach was asked if Müller would start in his last home match for Bayern. He answered that while he doesn’t want to reveal who would play, he added that he clearly doesn’t want to ruin the party either.
