How Wolves Have Lined Up Recently

Under Vítor Pereira, Wolves have predominantly used a 3-4-2-1 formation, offering both defensive solidity and transitional fluidity. Last time out against Man City, José Sá retained his place in goal. The back three featured Matt Doherty, Emmanuel Agbadou, and Toti Gomes. The midfield was made up of Nélson Semedo, João Gomes, André, and Rayan Aït-Nouri. Marshall Munetsi, Matheus Cunha, and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde occupied the forward positions.

Wolves Recent Form And Tactics

The West Midlands outfit has been in a rich vein of form recently, winning six top-flight games in a row for the first time since 1970. Last time, they narrowly lost 1-0 to Man City and will be looking to bounce back against Brighton, hoping to move up to 12th. Their tactical approach remains based on solid defensive structure, high pressing in central areas, and fast counterattacks.

Defensively, they sit deep and look to spring forward quickly through the flanks. Offensively, their strength lies in wide transitions, where the wing-backs and wide forwards link up to create overloads. However, injuries and suspensions have at times limited their attacking sharpness and squad rotation. Pereira has had to rely heavily on a core set of players.

Injuries To Consider

During the press conference, Pereira said that “Hee-Chan is working with the team with a small problem, not serious. Larsen has started working with us, we’ll see.”Long-term absentees include Enso Gonzalez, Sasa Kalajdzic, Yerson Mosquera, and Leon Chiwome, who are not expected to return until at least June.
